| Outback 2005 v. 2004 | 25 Jul 2004 22:34 GMT | 4 |
Hi, is there much difference between the 2004 and 2005 versions of the 2.5 lt. ? We're thinking about buying a 2004 demonstrator but wonder if it's worth holding out for the 2005 when it's released in a couple of months here in New Zealand.

We have a 1997 Legacy Outback. Around 91k miles. The Check engine light came on yesterday. What are the most common reasons for this? I checked the oil, it's ok. Car has an automatic. We really don't have the $$ right now to take it in for service :(

| AutoZone and code reading subarus? | 25 Jul 2004 06:04 GMT | 11 |
Just got back from a disappointing trip to my local AutoZone to unravel my Check Engine Light (CEL). The guy said I'd have to go to the dealer as my Subaru has a special connector that they don't have for their code reader?

I have a 2001 Forrester and since the original front brake pads have been replaced they tend to squeal. But worse is that the brakes have always been weak. It contributed to my getting into an accident. I noticed in advertising for the 2002 models that they mentioned improved
