forester horsepower mods?16 Jul 2004 03:22 GMT3
I have a '98 Forester.  I love the car, but would love it even more if I
could eek a little more power out of it, particularly in the low end of the
power band.  Acceleration from full stop is not very impressive, and
acceleration from the bottom of the power band in any gear feels ...

What make/model is the stereo in my 2000 Legacy GT sedan?  Is there an
online manual for it somewhere?
need one Firestone Wilderness P225/60R16 tire15 Jul 2004 23:15 GMT5
I know this is a rather strange request...
I recently cut the side wall of one of my OEM Subaru Outback tires, a
Firestone Wilderness P225/60R16.  I know these are not the best tires
as far as handling and noise go, but they're on there and they've
Cat Converter???15 Jul 2004 23:03 GMT2
I have recently started hearing a strange noise in my 1998 Forester that has me
stumped. When the engine is under load at low speed, if I give it more gas, I
hear a scraping noise that seems to come from underneath the center of the
vehicle. The noise is not loud, as I can barely ...

Howdy,
My heart just about stopped when I priced the 60k mi service at the
dealer for my 01 outback wagon.
They want $510 here to
'90 Legacy muffler - single/dual tipped?14 Jul 2004 20:56 GMT3
I recently needed a new muffler on my '90 Legacy wagon, and took the
car to a Meineke dealer to get a replacement. After I getting the car
back, I noticed that the new muffler had only a single pipe exiting
from it, while the original Legacy muffler (and all subsequent
Purchase 05 Legacy, Outback14 Jul 2004 20:49 GMT2
Has anyone purchased an 05 Legacy or Outback.  I am considering one but don't know how much discounting to expect.
Thanks
"H6 3.0" badged grill for 2001 LL Bean: where to get one?14 Jul 2004 20:30 GMT1
Hello,
I have an early 2001 LL Bean which came with the generic front grill that
does not have the "H6 3.0" badging on it. Does anyone know where I can get a
grill that has this without having to order directly from Subaru at their
OBW 2001 problems14 Jul 2004 13:16 GMT8
When my headgasket went on my OBW, the service manager at the dealer acted
surprised and said that he hadn't seen very many of these head gasket problems.
Then, of course a week later came the national recall about the head gaskets.
Well, now, my alternator and brake warning lights ...
Infant car seat for 99 Legacy Outback13 Jul 2004 17:47 GMT7
We're expecting our first born and just purchased a Graco SnugRide.
When I tried to install it the seatbelt buckles get in the way. When I
tighten it up, the buckles are just where the belt should wrap around
the top of the base and therefore, come loose very easily.
auto -V- manual subarus13 Jul 2004 16:59 GMT4
Has anybody driven both the automatic (AT) and manual (MT) versions of
Forester or *Liberty/Legacy/Outback in off road conditions. I am
interested to know how much difference the more responsive traction
control in the AT really makes. I have a Forester manual.
Radio Reception 2002 Forester13 Jul 2004 06:41 GMT10
When on the road the radio reception in my 2002 Forester S is
terrible. Once out of the local metro area I use the scan feature to
look for stations. Several weeks ago I was in Tacoma WA and could not
find one station of any strength. Any hints/ideas/fixes?

205 WRX STi's at the dealer: $10,000 dealer markup.
I guess my quest for a cheap fast car will have to bypass this $43,000
anomaly. Even the non-STi WRX models were marked up $3,000. I think not.
STi for everyday use???13 Jul 2004 04:48 GMT27
OK, I've read the reviews and the tests, everyone of them says thatthe
STi is a street legal race car. That sounds really good, but:
How bad is it for everyday use on the street?
In direct comparison with the 2005 WRX, the 2005 STi is definitely
Impreza - Right Front Wheel HOT!!!13 Jul 2004 03:09 GMT6
So I am cruising down the highway in my 97 Impreza Wagon and
everything seems fine.  Then I go to slow down to make a turn and the
front end makes all sorts of racket under braking like the front discs
are warped.  But I just had them turned and there really is no shimmy
