| Wheel goes "wop wop wop wop".. | 07 Jul 2004 21:28 GMT | 4 |
Now that it is summer time and we're driving around with the windows open, especially the passenger side, I notice that the rear passenger side wheels makes "a lot" of road noise - actually I don't think it is any louder than the other three, just it is modulated instead of being ...

| Valves Rattling | 07 Jul 2004 19:02 GMT | 5 |
This is my first post so please be kind. We have a 1997 Subaru Legacy Outback and recently the valves are rattling like crazy. Can anyone tell me if they have had problems like this in the past? Our car has only 90k on it and I never expected it to develop this issue so soon.

| Forester XT tire recomendation... | 07 Jul 2004 13:52 GMT | 2 |
The Geolanders are about shot (outside edge wear from soft sidewalls rolling under cornering) Anyone got a good recomendation in the stock size? I was hoping to stretch these until I was ready to upsize, but I guess 16k miles with the way I drive is not too bad.

| Forester XT Premium -VS- Outback XT Limited | 07 Jul 2004 01:44 GMT | 3 |
OK, I thought the Forester was the SUV, but looking at the specs, it would appear that the Outback & Forester are both SUV's ? The Outback also has almost an inch of increased ground clearance. Would someone tell me how they differ other than external appearances.

| Want to buy 98 Outback, BUT .............. | 06 Jul 2004 18:41 GMT | 6 |
Im looking at a 98 Subaru Outback, automatic, Limited Edition with only 31,000 km (19,000) miles on it. I believe the mileage to be correct, looking at the vehicle--practically no stone chips, engine very clean, log book in order etc. (Price is $21,000 Australian, which is the ...

| Timing for unleaded on 1981 1800? | 06 Jul 2004 17:27 GMT | 3 |
Super and LRP fuel is being phased out this week in Australia. I know that our 1981 1800 4WD Wagon can use unleaded with just an ignition timing change. Standard timing for leaded fuel is 8 BTDC for leaded (Super) fuel.

Anyone know off hand what size the preheater hose is? Blew a heater hose and while replacing it noticed the preheater was looking ragged and torn. Didn't have anything to measure it with, and raining now so hoping someone could tell me what the diameter is so can pick up a piece.

| Quite unhappy with Legacy marketing in Canada | 06 Jul 2004 02:05 GMT | 11 |
Test drove the 2005 Legacy last week, great car. I want one but have no need for most options, except a sunroof. But look at the options packages : anything above the base model is at least 7000$cdn extra. Want a sunroof and a manual transmission ? Nothing short of a 2.5GT Ldt
