| hesitation in the rain ? | 05 Jul 2004 00:07 GMT | 13 |
I'm far from an expert and hope someone has run across this before. I have a 1989 Forrester with about 140K miles, regularly serviced. I've noticed this problem starting several years ago but have not been able to figure it out.

| Ordering a Subaru? | 04 Jul 2004 16:39 GMT | 13 |
I've decided this time around to go with a VDC Wagon, one of the new 2005's. Talking to the internet sales rep at our local dealer thou', he says it's not possible to actually order a Subaru, you just take what comes in on the boat.

| 2005 Subaru Outback impressions and comparisons | 04 Jul 2004 14:00 GMT | 19 |
I recently test drove a 2005 Subaru Outback 3.0R LL Bean. I was very impressed by its response and handling. The interior felt quite upscale with quality leather seats, dual A/C, CD changer, huge moonroof. The exterior has pleasing lines and is eye-catching and

| '02 WRX - RPM limiter | 04 Jul 2004 07:37 GMT | 5 |
Is there some sort of RPM limiter on '02 WRX? What I noticed last weekend while driving was sudden drop in RPMs after shifting from 4th to 3rd and hitting roughly 7500 RPM. I could even call it an engine stall as revs dropped sudenly to approx. 5K RPM....It basically happened by

| Will a tall person fit into a Forester? | 04 Jul 2004 05:16 GMT | 8 |
Hi. I am 6'2" and I am wondering how tall people feel driving the Forestor for a long time, say 8-10 hours a day on a trip. It feels good in the test drive, but often it's the long drives that show if a car is really comfortable. Given my height, I often find that many

| Refresh me on 2002 Forester engine noise please. | 04 Jul 2004 01:47 GMT | 3 |
My 2002 Forest has piston slap below 40 degrees that clears up when the engine warms. But in any weather, the engine has what sounds like a collapsed lifter, most noticable when the engine is cool. I've suspected the cam belt tensioner from what I've read here.

I live in Anchorage, AK and recently had relatives from the lower 48 come up for a visit. We went down to Seward and had a blast looking at all the sights. When parking in one of the local parking lots, I saw what appeared to be a 2000+ Model OBW with a towbar mounted permanently ...

The driver's side power window on my 96 Suburu OBW is all the way down and won't go back up. It is still on the tracks. The other three windows are fine. What can I do raise the window back up until I can get it serviced? I the meantime its covered with a plastic bag and duct ...

I just bought a new 2004 Forester. One of the papers I signed is a tire chain disclosure that states in big black capital letters: "As equipped, this vehicle may not be operated with tire chains but may accommodate some other type of tire traction device. See the owner's manual for

| Outback "tire track" sticker? | 03 Jul 2004 08:02 GMT | 2 |
Hey all... The nifty "tire track" emblem on the back of my '95 Outback is peeling off. While I normally wouldn't care about a sticker, I always did like that one and am sad to see it go. Anyone ever replaced one of these, know how much
