| A/C warm when letting off gas | 18 Aug 2004 23:01 GMT | 1 |
In an Impreza Outback Sport '05, I have noted that after accelerating when I let off the gas, the A/C would appear to cycle off for a few seconds. I don't usually notice this on low fan speeds (presumably b.c. it doesn't blow the cold air out fast enough), but do on high fan speeds.

| 97 Outback electrical problem | 18 Aug 2004 16:42 GMT | 13 |
97 Legacy Outback 102K. Problem just started. When I start the car everything is OK. I get up to highway speed altenator and brake light start blinking. Few miles later, speedometer and tack start flopping and go to zero. Car drives ok unless I try to go to fast. Check engine light

| 04 Outback 2.5 engine Oil problem | 18 Aug 2004 04:00 GMT | 18 |
I have bought a new Outback 2.5 Premium and have done only 8,000kms. I checked the oil and found NOTHING on the dipstick. I took it in to Subaru Doncaster on Monday morning and they told me "We have been having problems with the new engines." And that "I was lucky that I

| '95 Legacy Outback foglight replacement. | 18 Aug 2004 03:31 GMT | 1 |
Just posting this for general info, as the other thread was referring to the 2004 WRX rather than a Legacy. My foglights have been non-functioning for a while. A combination of difficulty in replacing and not having much fog kept me from trying to fix

| Second Childhood for Justy | 17 Aug 2004 23:45 GMT | 21 |
I am sad to announce that my 1988 Justy's engine died after just 200,406 miles. I have ordered a rebuilt engine from ATK and am looking forward to a second childhood for the poor little car.

| WRX Alignment Specs | 17 Aug 2004 16:02 GMT | 3 |
All.... I just put the ALK and end-links on my car and they suggest a new alignment afterwards. Since my car is an '05 model, none of the local shops have that data yet, and the dealership is just too far away (70 miles) to drive on a poor alignment. Do you know if the ...

| 2004 WRX wagon Audio Wiring Harness Layout | 17 Aug 2004 12:38 GMT | 1 |
Anyone happen to have the wire layout for the harness going into the back of the 6 disk in dash changer/tape/am/fm head unit? i'm tapping in for speaker level outs that i'll run through a step-down converted for RCAs to an amp... and i'll need the switched power as well. I'd

| Radar Detectors | 17 Aug 2004 04:36 GMT | 14 |
Recently got at speeding ticket in my WRX (imagine that!) and have decided to get a radar detector. Had an old detector in the glove box, lot of good that did me. (Great thinking!) So have done a little net searching and the two that come up are the: Escort

| harmonic balancer came off | 17 Aug 2004 04:30 GMT | 1 |
When the harmonic balancer came off my '91 legacy, I replaced it with a used one. The original was unusable because the interior diameter had increased to the depth of the keyway, (bolt backed out and it wobbled right off). I needed a new key from subaru because the

| 3.0-H6 cold start roughness | 17 Aug 2004 01:39 GMT | 9 |
Question: I have had a new 2004 3.0-H6 Outback for a about 5 weeks. I like the vehicle a lot, it is very peppy, but when the car starts cold it revs up and down and the idle sounds somewhat rough. Once I get underway, this goes away and the car is very quiet. Is this rough startup, ...

| Used '02 WRX questions | 17 Aug 2004 00:56 GMT | 4 |
I'm looking at picking up a used 2002 WRX, with about 95,000km on it. It came off lease, and seems to drive pretty good. It still hauls like crazy, and I wasn't able to hear any rattles or squeaks. There is some minor body stuff (hood chips and a door ding...and it needs a good

| Usable Outback Fuel Capacity | 17 Aug 2004 00:29 GMT | 2 |
Yesterday I drove from Portland to Boise in my Outback before filling up. I put 15.6 gallons in with the fill up. This got me wondering, I know the Outback has a 17 gallon tank, but how much is actually usable? If I ran it totally empty, how much gas would still be in the

| 2003 OBW AC not working | 17 Aug 2004 00:08 GMT | 12 |
Thought I'd ask here before taking it in for service: Our one-year-old 2003 OBW's AC is not blowing cold. Worked fine last summer (purchased July 2003), but hasn't worked this summer at all. It blows, but is warm. I've checked for a blown fuse, but don't see any.

| What's the story with Amsoil? | 16 Aug 2004 22:22 GMT | 26 |
I just bought an '05 Sti and the dealer recommended Amsoil. He doesn't sell it, so that's not the reason, Subaru makes no such specific recommendation. I intend to maintain a strict 3000mi interval, so is there value in
