04 OBW LLBean - 2 Problems14 Aug 2004 01:12 GMT3
1. Minor problem - The radio is sometimes dead. No lights at all. There are
6 CDs in the unit, so there are supposed to be 6 little indicators on, but
nothing. Can't turn the radio on. OnStar won't work either. I fix this
problem by pressing the CD eject button, or re-starting the ...
Subaru Outback vs Mazda6 Sport Wagon13 Aug 2004 20:48 GMT2
I was at the same crossroad about April this year. I also had a Jetta TDI
Wagon in the mix. I eliminated the Jetta based on owner satisfaction and
dealer servicing complaints. The Mazda drive wowed me... big time. The sport
wagon looks like a Euro tourer ala BMW or Audi style. Cool ...

ABS and Highway Spinout!13 Aug 2004 15:06 GMT32
Hello. My husband had an incident with my 1999 Forester yesterday. He
was in the right lane of the Maine turnpike going about 60 mph,
preparing to exit about a half mile away. He was cut off by a carful
of kids and swerved into the breakdown lane to avoid being hit by
HIGH miles13 Aug 2004 10:56 GMT5
I went to pick up the plates for my new Subaru, and as I waited a few
minutes, I idly looked at the used vehicles. They have "stickers" on
them, basic vehicle descriptions. I was astounded by one. I don't
remember if it was a sedan or wagon, but it was a 2003 model, with
WRX front wheel bearing failure...common?13 Aug 2004 06:37 GMT11
Just picked up my 2002 wrx from the dealer...AGAIN, this time the passenger
side front wheel bearing went at 72k miles. The driver side went out 2 months
ago at 65k. Ok, so I drive it alot. The dealer had it back to me the same day,
as the parts were in stock..(which leads me to ...
99 OBW Clutch linkage problem.  Advice?13 Aug 2004 02:00 GMT4
I bought a used '99 2.5L 5-speed OBW in '01.  My clutch pedal loses it's
ability to disengage the clutch as the car warms up.  I suspect the master
cylinder in the hydraulic clutch linkage.
Within a year of purchase, I noticed a problem with the clutch pedal, but
2WD fuse question12 Aug 2004 17:03 GMT4
Hello,  A friend of mine has a late 90's Legacy.  This car will not go into
the 2WD mode despite whether or not the fuse is in. The fuse is good.  Is
this a common problem?  Does anyone know what is wrong with it?  thank you
Jokitty
Subaru stuck in AWD12 Aug 2004 00:59 GMT4
Hello my friend has a 96 Legacy Brighton, with an automatic transmission.
This car remains in AWD regardless of whether or not the "fuse" is in or
out.  The fuse is good, tested with a meter.  Has anyone ever heard of this
problem?  Is it a common problem?  What is the solution?  ...

Two Air Filters - which one to take out?11 Aug 2004 01:48 GMT1
I have a 99 Forester (Canadian) and it has TWO air filters.
Before someone object, there really is a filter inside of each of the two
air boxes - one by RH side fender & one by the throttle body. I understand
most Subbies only have 1 of the 2 boxes occupied. (refer to post "Why two
WRX Owners10 Aug 2004 23:08 GMT16
Do you know your driving a dorkey 4 door car? Give dad his car back and
go buy your own.
Also the suckass dorks that put a performance muffler on a car with an
automatic. Yea that sounds good. Idots.
Remote Entry10 Aug 2004 22:06 GMT1
We have a 2002 outback.  The issue we have is that we have the remote
keyless entry remote that came with the outback when we bought it
along with another remote that was not original as the original was
lost by the previous owner.  When we lock the car with the original
05 Outback Splash Guards?10 Aug 2004 18:19 GMT2
Finally got my '05 wagon in silver, only 3 months after ordering:-]
My dealer saiid "of course the guards come with it".  Turns out they don't,
realistically, they're just some short parts that are part of the side
valances.  Not likely to keep the junk off the car very well.
