| OT: Best car for my sister? | 30 Sep 2004 03:03 GMT | 5 |
First off, I know the best car for my sister would be an Impreza or a Forester, but both my mom and I drive Subarus and sis hates them. She thinks mom's Forester is ugly and thinks my Outback is stupid. Her exact words.

| AC Problems with 2005 Outback | 30 Sep 2004 01:53 GMT | 2 |
My girlfriend recently purchased a 2005 Outback Sport. Since the day she bought it, she complains of excess noise when the AC is on. When the compressor turns on and off, usually about once every couple of minutes, the sound of freon ( I guess it it technically R-134a) going ...

| Frame Damage | 29 Sep 2004 22:00 GMT | 4 |
Last week a Nissan Altima plowed into the rear of my '02 WRX wagon at 30+ mph. I wish I had taken pictures. My Subaru looked reasonably good, the Altima looked like it was a total loss. However looks were not the whole story. My WRX has frame and chassis damage. The body shop says ...

I have a 04 Impreza TS with ~66000 km on it. The clutch assembly was replaced about several weeks ago due to the infamous clutch shudder. Ever since the replacement, the clutch pedal will become very loose (a very long free play), and the engagement point drops near the floor

It's been pouring rain for at least 8 hours and I hit some large puddles on my way to work. I also had work done 4 days ago. 2 oil leaks, cam seals, new timing belt. Now it started to stall while driving. Not much sputtering, gas pedal becomes useless, lose powerstearing. Feels like ...

At around 1500 miles I noticed the headlight lenses showing a light "fog" on the OUTSIDE. As time went by it became more noticeable. Mentioned it to the dealer who said "not under warranty" and told me to buy plastic polish and clean the lenses.

Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. I've got an '04 2.5 RS. When I'm in 3rd gear (and only in that gear), I sometimes get a small jerking motion (kind of feels like the sparkplugs are misfiring) for one second the instant I lift my foot off the

| Subaru specialist in or around London/UK? | 28 Sep 2004 08:52 GMT | 1 |
Well, if it gets to the point that I'll buy that twin-turbo Legacy I drove yesterday I'd need a recommendation for a place to get it serviced. While I can do the small stuff myself, I'd prefer to get the bigger

| Forester: Why get a turbo? What about the back seat? | 28 Sep 2004 05:31 GMT | 43 |
I just took an 05 Forester for a test drive. Actually we took an X and an XT. The X isn't really on my list, I went out to look at the XS and XT, but the X was ready to go so we drove that and just sat in the XS in the showroom.
