buying a damaged car that's been rebuilt
hello all,
i'm looking into 2004 Outback that's been in an accident.I'm not sure if
it the title shows salvage. Anyway, my question is what should i look out

Anyone ever try any of the aftermarket short throw shifters for the
STi or WRX?

Is my 2004 Baja supposed to have a light on the dash that warns if the fuel
door is left open?
My Baja (4000 mi) stopped working and is now stuck at a dealer to be
repaired.   As long as it is stuck there I called  asked for the fuel door

I needed a new car in a hurry after my Honda got destroyed by a rear end
collision.
I've wanted a Subaru for years, so I picked up a cheap older one which I'll
replace with a newer one in a year or so provided I like it.

My 98 Outback wagon has developed this problem.
Is the hood scoop (whatever you call it... the vent opening in the engine
cover) removable?  Has anyone here dealt with this problem before?

It seems as if my '01 OBW is due for brake pads.  I'm relatively
doing this, but has anyone who has done their own ran into any
"gotchas" with this car?   I've never done brakes on a Subaru.

Presently to close my moonroof I have to do two things that kind of annoy
me:
1) I have to hold the button until the moonroof is completely closed
2) When closing it, the moonroof stops about half-way and I have to

left timing belt broke ,replaced belt and engine will not run on l side it
just backfires threw the intake and i removed the head  to ck the valves and
they are ok

My 95  Legacy has no Taillights.
I have headlights, brakelights, directionals, hazard & backup lights.

Have heard lots of pros and cons regarding Subaru's.  I'm not perfect
either - I tend to vent (too much) on some things that may be inevitable
with any car.
Given what we all know, it would be interesting to see the car manufacturer
