Consequtive road tests of vanilla 2005 WRX and WRX Sti - Holy cow!22 Sep 2004 12:19 GMT11
Road tested two WRX's yesterday: a WRX wagon with normal shifter and a WRX Sti sedan with short shift shifter. Both 2005 off dealer lot. The Sti was first.
The Sti is one hot car! I was not used to the short shift gearbox and it felt a little weird at first, but it only took a few ...

My wife and I are having trouble deciding between Outback and
Forester. Any suggestion? What are the main differences between these
two? We are looking for one from 2001-2004. We looked at a 2001
Outback yesterday, a Rocky Mountain edition. What's special about this
New Subies and dual exhaust?21 Sep 2004 21:15 GMT9
Looking at some of the pics of the new Legacy, I noticed something I hadn't
seen before.  The new Legacies have dual exhaust.
I'm kinda of curious how the system is set up.  On my first car, a Crown
Victoria, there were basically two separate exhaust systems, one coming from

'95 Outback - Washer nozzle21 Sep 2004 10:02 GMT1
The passenger side washer nozzle on my '95 Outback is clogged.  I've been
dealing with it for a while but need to get this taken care of before the
salt hits the roads in a couple months.  I tried blasting it out with
compressed air, but apparently whatever is in there is stuck fast ...
Replacing double tailpipe muffler in a WRX21 Sep 2004 06:09 GMT1
Have anyone ever tried replacing a basic WRX double tailpipe muffler with
STI original prodrive muffler. Do you feel any difference in terms of power
delivery across the whole rpm band?

97 Legacy Question21 Sep 2004 01:52 GMT1
Greetings All,
My 97 Legacy GL is having automatic transmission problems.  It would
seem that the gears are slipping.  I have plenty of transmission fluid
in the transmission.  What else could be causing the problem?

Is there a way to enter my '03 XS without the remote, without triggering the alarm20 Sep 2004 20:54 GMT1
Is there a way to enter my 2003 Forester XS with the key instead of the remote,
without tripping the alarm?
When I unlock the Sube with the key and open the door, the alarm goes off.  Is there
some amount of time I can wait so it will disarm?  I know I can turn off the alarm with
Subaru pulling when braking20 Sep 2004 16:43 GMT1
I just got a 2001 Subaru Outback wagon and when appling the brakes on a
rutted road (paved roads with tire tracks worn in) it pulls dramatically
to one side or the other. It doesn't appear to happen on a flat road and
it doesn't pull with a preference to left or right. Is this a ...

Where can I get Outback fog light covers?20 Sep 2004 11:55 GMT11
Anyone know where one can get covers for foglights on a 2005 Outback

These vulnerable lights don't seem to serve any useful purpose apart
from generating income for Subaru when they get broken, which will

98 Outback ABS activating on every stop19 Sep 2004 19:58 GMT6
My 98 outback (104K miles) has just developed this interesting feature
where it kicks in the antilocks every time I stop.  Once the speed
