How much gas on a fill-up?31 Oct 2004 17:39 GMT6
I've had my '99 Outback Wagon for about nine months. The fuel gauge is on E
again this morning...and in these nine months I've never seen a low-fuel
light. If I fill it up now, it will take about 15 gallons. (~385 miles on
the trip odo...I like that mpg)
geolander tire pressure31 Oct 2004 15:51 GMT7
What would be the optimum tire pressure for both front and back tires on a
2003 forester XS with OEM geolander tires?
Ugly rear wing on WRX31 Oct 2004 15:07 GMT59
Test drove a 2004 WRX last night.  I was impressed with the cars
performance, but its looks really put me off.  Is there a way to replace the
rear wing with something less boy-racer?  I found aftermarket wings that
were even BIGGER than the stock one.  How about a smaller rear ...
WRX: why same side tires rotation?29 Oct 2004 22:37 GMT9
WRX manual says to rotate tires front to rear on the same side.
The tires look bidirectional to me (standard OEM tires), why is it necessary
to stay on the same side?
Flashers on keyless entry29 Oct 2004 15:23 GMT6
Have 99 Forester 2.0 Turbo. It has keyless entry (remote controlled power
door locks). But locking (or unlocking) the car does not flash the turn
signals like on many other cars. It would be nice to have some visual
confirmation when doors are locked. Can this be easily installed?
Forester (US) Rear wiper blade replacement problem29 Oct 2004 13:41 GMT3
The rear wiper blade on my  '05 Forester is a non-standard design. The
arm is designed in such a way that a standard blade won't fit. It's
end is too wide to fit into the opening on the blade.
I suppose that leave only three options:
86 GL  wagon hub caps29 Oct 2004 12:12 GMT2
86 GL 4x4 wagon.  8 spoke wheels with the small press in cap the covers the
hub nut.
Living in ND leaves very few junk yards with old subie parts. (da usual;
ford, chevy, dodge)
Do your sun-visors suck?29 Oct 2004 02:23 GMT8
On my new WRX, the sun visors suck!
They seem to have some positions to them, so when I fold it down and push it
all the way around and flush into the windshield they spring back down and
into my line of sight!  When the sun is high in the windshield I don't want
2005 - Windshield tint28 Oct 2004 13:19 GMT1
Anyone else find the 6" tint at the top of the windshield to be annoying?
Any ideas if I can get a replacement windshield without the tint for my new
Outback 2.5 XT Wagon ?
Sub. Outback 2005 sun/light sensor problem28 Oct 2004 07:51 GMT11
I have noticed that my dashboard is lit even on the bright sunny day. While
this light hardly noticeable, switching ignition off defenetly turns off
background light (however hardly visible it is). I have tried covering and
uncovering sensor with the black cloth, no difference.
Baja Bed Cover? Best Price?27 Oct 2004 22:26 GMT2
Looking for an online dealer to order a bed cover for a 2003 Baja. Are
there any good deals out there or am I stuck ordering from the dealer?
Plus it seems to be that the OEM soft cover is a bit overpriced and
I've heard it's 'fidgety' - any other options besides the hard
Bosch Platinum+427 Oct 2004 21:51 GMT4
Does anybody use the Bosch Platinum+4 plugs.  It is time to put a new
set of plugs in my OB.  I put a lot of highway miles on my car, so if
they are truly better, I am interested.  I am curious if anybody has
real world experience with these plugs (I already have opionions).
Fumotovalve & high mileage oil27 Oct 2004 20:45 GMT12
OK. I have a 2000 OBW with 167K kms on it. I've just got a Fumotovalve
which I'm hoping will be ok. Just wondering how many miles/changes do
people have on their fumotovalves??
I also just saw at Canadian Tire the Fram SureDrain oil drain valve.
Synthetic oil fitler? 2000 OBW26 Oct 2004 18:15 GMT13
Hello just wondering what filter the synthetic oil users are using
these days.
I know people tend to have a low opinion of Fram, but has anyone heard
anything about the XG3593A? It's marketed for synthetic oils. Supposed
Connecting Rod in my Forester26 Oct 2004 18:13 GMT1
I am quite bummed out here...139K on my 2000 Forester S and they're telling
me I need a new engine. This car was carefully driven and maintained
according to manufacturer specs...any out there have a similar situation.
