gauge pack housing installation instructions in '02 WRX18 Oct 2004 18:47 GMT2
has anyone installed a gauge pack housing?  I'm not sure how to remove the
clock and install this empty housing unit in my WRX.  Do you remove the
grill to the AC vent and go underneath?
Any instruction would be appreciated!  Thanks!
2002 Impreza RS Problems18 Oct 2004 13:32 GMT1
Just recently there have been some gremlins with my 2002 Impreza 2.5 RS.
First the car would not start and you could hear an electric type of
buzzing sound.  The tow truck driver tried and said he got it to start my
jiggling the gear shifter.  This has not re-occurred for about ...

clock replacement ?17 Oct 2004 15:04 GMT2
Sure enough, took my clock apart (99'Subaru Forrester) and found that a
component had bit the dust and it needs replacing. None of the local
"junk shops" have the part. I've tried some online places and none of
them make it easy to even see if they have the part, let alone carry ...

98 OB auto transmission downshift 2 gears = neutral17 Oct 2004 12:39 GMT1
I recently purchased 98 OB and drove it 2000 mi on a trip. One problem,
which I knew about and was compensated for, is that when the auto
transmission drops a couple of gears on a hill or when u floor it, the
engine races like its in neutral until the gear catches. It spent the day
2003 Forester Central locking /Alarm problems17 Oct 2004 04:44 GMT5
I am waiting for the call out mechanic to tell me I have a dead main battery
in a seven month old vehicle . The car won't start and the alarm has been
going since 2am.[The neighbours love me!]
The main problem apart from the previous is that there is NO way I can
Outback Hood Protector16 Oct 2004 23:59 GMT4
Hello, I just purchased my very first Subaru.
It's an Outback 2.5 XT.
I love it so far and I was thinking about getting the acrylic hood protector
for it.
Strange 'buzz' noise at speed (Outback wagon 2001)16 Oct 2004 16:01 GMT2
Hi!  My Outback wagon 2001 sometimes has a high-pitch buzzing noise
that seems to be coming from just over my left shoulder when I am
driving. It only occurs at speed (60 - 70 mph) and is dependent on
the wind direction. Could this be a vibration in the weather
Mountin an AMP in a '05 WRX15 Oct 2004 23:57 GMT1
Hey all-
I just bought a nice amp to compliment the 12" pioneer I've had laying
around.  I want to mount the amp but don't know where.  I was thinking of
putting it in the trunk but don't want other odds and ends to crash into it
gurgling sound when revved?15 Oct 2004 21:16 GMT4
There is a gurgling/splashing sound in my 2002 impreza wrx, the loudness is
proportional to the engine RPM and happens in gear and in neutral. It seems
to come from under the car between the driver and passenger seat. There is
no warning lights and nothing is leaking underneath.
Electonic Climate Control15 Oct 2004 21:03 GMT6
My new Sub. has electronic climate control. Here what happens:
1. In morning outside temp is about 55, in the car temp about 60 (car spent
night in the unheated garage)
2. I turn on Auto mode for the temp say 70, and AC comes up!
ABS in my 2000 RS2.5 doesn't work as given in 'drive'15 Oct 2004 19:45 GMT3
I just received my new issue on 'DRIVE' by subaru.
In it was an article on the anti-lock brake system used by Subaru.
It stated that Subaru uses a 4 channel system that unlocks only the
wheel that slips, but my 2000 RS2.5 unlocks the brakes on all 4 wheels
