Clutch Shudder - AUSTRALIA03 Oct 2004 15:52 GMT6
AUSTRALIA
Can anyone tell me please if there is any such thing as a TSB (does this
mean Technical Service Bulletin??? ) for Subaru AUSTRALIA relating to
the common clutch shudder problem???  I particularly want to know where
1 day old '05 Forester idle not steady03 Oct 2004 14:05 GMT9
Just drove my brand spanking new '05 Forester home today.  When I parked,
before turning off the engine, I sat there just soaking it in.  And I
noticed that when idling, the idle has a pattern in which it goes up, then
back down, then up, then back down.  All by itself.
94 Impreza clutch slipping03 Oct 2004 09:39 GMT7
I've got 165k miles on my impreza and the clutch is on it's last legs. Does
anyone have an estimate on the cost of replacing the clutch either at a
dealership or a  local repair shop ?
Remote lock mechanism failure03 Oct 2004 06:01 GMT3
A few weeks ago my brothers '01 Impreza had a dead battery. After
recharging and driving the battery failed again. Today after replacing
the battery I heard a constant clicking coming from behind the fuse
panel. After feeling around, the source of the clicking was determined
97 Outback Starting Problem03 Oct 2004 00:51 GMT6
I own a 1997 OBW with 70K miles that has an intermittent starting
problem.  On three different occasions, when the key was turned the
first or second time, you would hear one click but no start and no other
clicks.  When turned again, the car would start.  This has occurred
Forester: Tire questions02 Oct 2004 22:03 GMT25
4 questions about the tires on a Subaru Forester; mine happens to be a 2004
XT.
   1) How fast can you drive with the full-size spare tire?
   2) How many miles have Forester owners been getting out of their initial
Tranny Problems 95 Legacy02 Oct 2004 01:45 GMT1
I'm posting this for my wife's coworker who has a 95 Legacy Wagon RHD
mail vehicle with 130k miles and a blown auto trans. He had the trans
replaced by Subaru at 90k miles. One thought about why would this
trans go out 40 k miles later is that maybe it was a rebuilt unit. He
Cruise control sometimes over-revs engine on 2005 Outback01 Oct 2004 16:22 GMT9
Just finished a 5000 km trip in a 2005 auto OBW with a lot of time on
freeways at 75 mph.
When using cruise control at high speeds (75-80  mph) and a moderate
hill is encountered forcing the auto to change down to 3rd, it often
Subaru Cooling System Conditioner 01 Oct 2004 16:08 GMT2
Two questions:
1-Is there an "over-the-counter", if you will, product that can be bought at an
auto supply store that is the same as the Subaru "Cooling System Conditioner" ?
2-What should be used to removed those stick-on bumper protectors?
snow tires needed on outback?01 Oct 2004 13:05 GMT24
I have a 2004 Outback 3.0 and as the weather is turning colder, I was
wondering if I need snow tires. I live in Western Massachusetts and travel
up to Vermont on a regular nasis in the winter. My thought is that I do,
because with every other car I have gotten them, but I was ...
Forester Tire Question - Yoko Avid Touring01 Oct 2004 01:53 GMT4
About 15,000 miles ago, I replaced the original tires on my 2001
Forester with Yokohama Avid Tourings.  I've been pleased with their
ride, particularly on wet roads.  But lately I've noticed a distinct
humming sound from the tires that I don't think was there before.  A
Blown headlights01 Oct 2004 01:49 GMT3
For some strange reason the headlights on my 97 legacy GTB only last a
couple of months max before they blow, I have checked the earthings and they
all seem fine and have had the alternator checked out also. I thought this
may be something subaru specific that someone else has ...
Pre--oil system for '04 OBW01 Oct 2004 01:13 GMT12
I am looking for a pre-oil system for my '04 2.5L OBW. This system
would prelube the cylindering, bearing, and seals before the engine is
started. Calls to my local auto shops, NAPA, Autozone, and Fisher
resulted in lots of confused service reps. After doing an Internet
