keyless entry help06 Feb 2005 15:15 GMT2
Does anyone know how to reset or enter a new code in the  drivers door's
keyless entry?
I have bought a second hand 96 Legacy GTB and don't have the code or the
manual.
Seat heater replacement06 Feb 2005 00:51 GMT1
I have a 99 OBW & the driver's heated seat (backside)  is NFG. Anyone
replaced one or have any novel repair suggestions that will avoid me
spending 244$CAN + tax on a new one?
Thx,
WRX Clutch problem, caused by turbo boost?05 Feb 2005 10:57 GMT1
My 2002 WRX at 42,000 miles is in need of a new clutch and flywheel which
was really scored and burned up. My mechanic tells me that this was caused
by a broken connector on the turbo boost control hose, which allowed the
turbo pressure to go way above the safe pressure, and ...
replacing bulb in driving lamp04 Feb 2005 21:14 GMT3
How difficult would it be to replace the bulb on one of the driving
lamps in my 2000 OBW? I've replaced my headlight bulbs before, but those
are dead simple: you just unscrew a plug in the back of the headlight
casing and then pull the bulb out. But the last time I looked, the
Baja Opinions04 Feb 2005 02:18 GMT8
I have been looking at at the Baja as something that has pick-up
versatility but is more car like both on the highway and in gas mileage.
I know you don't get a pick-up but I don't think I will be carrying that
type of load.  My biggest concern is the back seats, which may not be
H6 window washer problem03 Feb 2005 21:31 GMT4
I rarely drive my wife's Subaru. I had to drive it to a funeral hundreds
of miles away; she would join me later when our son was available to
travel.
I refilled the washer fluid container and went happily on my way. All
Fuel leak in cold weather conditions03 Feb 2005 21:15 GMT14
In very cold weather (it's current ~15F in SE Michigan, so its too extreme)
my 02 WRX has a strong gasoline smell in the cabin. I asked my dealer to
investigate during a recent service and was told this is due to a fuel line
part that seeps fueld in very cold conditions. Appears ...
how to modify rear window defrost?03 Feb 2005 20:27 GMT11
i find it most annoying that my 2002 legacy wagon always starts up with
the rear defroster OFF.  no matter what the dimwit engineers think, if
i needed the defroster before i shut the engine off, chances are that
i'll still need it when i start again.    like, winter usually ...
TWO Legacies wouldn't start!03 Feb 2005 18:26 GMT10
It's been pretty cold here in the snow in NY State so I put my 2 Legacy
Wagons 96 and 99 in the garage and put the gas heater on overnight.
Next morning neither of them would start until I left them out in the cold.
Why please?
2005 Legacy GT Ltd. owners03 Feb 2005 13:04 GMT6
Would any of you  folks care to share your praise/complaints about your car
with me and how much you paid for it out the door. I am particularly
interested in the automatic transmission as I have been lead to believe it
is a continuously variable transmission.
Extending headlight life03 Feb 2005 10:30 GMT38
A long time ago, decades perhaps, I heard something about people in
South America, or somewhere having a lot of accidents at night, because
they often drove without their headlights. They did this because they
wanted to prolong headlight life. Pretty screwy, huh?
anti corrosion service03 Feb 2005 07:13 GMT8
hi,I`m from the uk, I`d be  interested to know if you guys from across the
pond have to have a anti corrosion service done on your Subaru`s because in
the uk the dealers insist on one at the end of year one and one at the end
of year three`to maintain the three year warranty ( they ...

How hard is it do replace the brakes?02 Feb 2005 23:29 GMT4
We have a 1997 Legacy Outback.  I took the car in for an oil change
last week and learned it needs about $2000 in various repairs. OUCH !
I was wondering what is involved in replacing the pads & rotors on this
car. Is it simply-
