| Clutch Pedal Freeplay | 23 Mar 2005 23:08 GMT | 1 |
I just got my 04 Forester back from its 24,000km service. When I dropped it off I mentioned to the service manager that there was no free play in the clutch pedal. His response was that it is hydraulic and can't be adjusted. I asked why the service schedule had this as a check ...

| another newbie question | 23 Mar 2005 15:53 GMT | 5 |
Another dumb newbie question... How does the overall reliability and longevity of a subaru compare to that of, say, a Toyota or Honda? I've never owned a Subaru but have had very good luck with other Japanese brands. I've come to expect to get about

I live in the Boston area and was planning a trip to Chicago to visit the inlaws. I wanted my 97 Legacy Outback 2.5 in top running shape before the trip and with 125 k miles on it I though it was a good idea to get a timing belt done on it.

I believe I have a head gasket leak on my '98 Outback (100K miles) - coolant being pushed out into the overflow tank with bubbles when engine is running. No overheating to this point and the engine is running just fine. The dealer estimate was $1000 + if only one head was ...

| Enable mp3 playback on 05 Legacy? | 21 Mar 2005 02:23 GMT | 7 |
I'm trying to find out if the 6-disk changer/stereo installed in 05 non-VDC models is a soft-downgraded version of the VDC's system. If so there should be a way to hack it and enable mp3 functionality in it. My 05 Legacy GT Limited seem not to reject mp3 disks but no sound is coming ...
