We're taking delivery of the car soon and I'd rather not use up the original tires before enjoying the benefits of available alternative tires. While we are getting the short throw shift option for sportier

| "Clutch Shudder" ever fixed at factory? | 19 Mar 2005 23:05 GMT | 1 |
I know that the problem has been well documented and that there's even a TSB for a fix, but what I never heard was this: Did the factory ever change the way it made Subarus so that this problem was no longer a concern?

| PCV Valve - Not? | 19 Mar 2005 21:31 GMT | 2 |
I have a 2004 Impreza 2.5TS Wagon, with just over 30,000 miles. This morning I changed the spark plugs, and then went to change the PCV Valve. The valve I had bought was a Purolator PV1019, which was what was listed in the book at the parts store, and I believe what I had used

| What is the 'Heat Shield' anyway? | 19 Mar 2005 03:52 GMT | 2 |
Got a 1997 Suby OB. About every year it starts making a weird sound. Kind of a twangy rattle. We take it in and they say it's the heat shield. They either "Tighten it" for free, or replace it once in a while for about ten bucks. The fix never lasts for long

| front and rear oil seal estimate? | 17 Mar 2005 22:54 GMT | 5 |
Okay, I googled about the oil seal replacement and the advice is to have the front and rear replaced when the timing belt is done. Now for the rest of the story... 98 sub legacy AT with 82K miles is leaking oil. Goofy part is that I had
