Tires4 '05 5M Outback Sport?20 Mar 2005 13:38 GMT4
We're taking delivery of the car soon and I'd rather not use up the
original tires before enjoying the benefits of available alternative
tires.

'03 Impreza annoying rattle when cold20 Mar 2005 04:19 GMT8
I have an '03 Impreza TS wagon (non-turbo) and lately I'be been having an
annoying rattle at around 2000RPM after starting the car when cold (below
freezing). The rattle goes away after about 10-15 minutes. Any ideas what
this might be?

"Clutch Shudder" ever fixed at factory?19 Mar 2005 23:05 GMT1
I know that the problem has been well documented and that there's even
a TSB for a fix, but what I never heard was this:
Did the factory ever change the way it made Subarus so that this
problem was no longer a concern?
PCV Valve - Not?19 Mar 2005 21:31 GMT2
I have a 2004 Impreza 2.5TS Wagon, with just over 30,000 miles.  This
morning I changed the spark plugs, and then went to change the PCV
Valve.  The valve I had bought was a Purolator PV1019, which was what
was listed in the book at the parts store, and I believe what I had used
newbie needs an opinion19 Mar 2005 18:17 GMT16
I'm thinking about getting a new or late-model used Subaru for my next car.
Primarily it will be for ~20 mile commute to work.  I want something that
does good in the snow.  Any opinions on Forester versus Outback?  The
Outback has higher clearance so should be perhaps a bit better ...

What is the 'Heat Shield' anyway?19 Mar 2005 03:52 GMT2
Got a 1997 Suby OB. About every year it starts making a weird
sound. Kind of a twangy rattle. We take it in and they say it's
the heat shield. They either "Tighten it" for free, or replace it
once in a while for about ten bucks.  The fix never lasts for long

The topic says it all.  I found a repo show at the dealership and they have
a beiges Outback Ltd Edition with the 3.0 engine, dual sunroofs, leather
interior etc for $21,900.  I could maybe get it down to $19,900 with a trade
in.

front and rear oil seal estimate?17 Mar 2005 22:54 GMT5
Okay,  I googled about the oil seal replacement and the advice is to have
the front and rear replaced when the timing belt is done.  Now for the rest
of the story...

AccessPORT17 Mar 2005 14:58 GMT8
Folks,
Are there any users of the Cobb Tuning AccessPORT Stage 1 on your stock WRX
out there?  Do you notice much improvement in power and torque?  Did your
gas mileage drop much?  Would you recommend it?  Thanks for your answers.
