Lo-Range in Australia?17 Mar 2005 11:53 GMT4
Subies of yesteryear in the U.S. used to have the lo-range 4wd and it was
great.  They did away with it after the dawn of the Legacy but I've heard
other countries still have the option, is this true?  If so why?

fuse for headlights and dashlights17 Mar 2005 03:04 GMT7
I got a 2000 Legacy L wagon two weeks ago. Last night, I installed a
new stereo in it. I followed the directions that Crutchfield sent
along. Arrogantly, I skipped the step about disconnecting the battery.
Maybe I created a short. Now my taillights and dashboard lights don't

Adjust valves17 Mar 2005 02:25 GMT9
1991 Legacy. Leaking oil from the RH cam cover. And also a lot of what
sounds like tappet/follower noise.
How big a job is it to adjust the valves? I'm not even sure if it's a
single cam or a twin cammer.
Prevelance World Wide of Legacy Twin Turbo GTB Wagon16 Mar 2005 20:42 GMT2
About a year ago I got myself the car mentioned in the title.
I currently live in Japan and was just wondering if the Twin Turbo model
made its way arround the world a) out of interest and b) to gauge my
chances of getting an English workshop manual.

Consumer Reports kudos for Subaru16 Mar 2005 18:38 GMT38
I know it's not considered good form to reference Consumer Reports in some
circles (like most auto discussion groups), but you may want to take a look
at the April 2005 annual auto issue. For starters, check out p. 17, in an
article entitled "U.S. autos narrow the gap." The ...

right, etc.
best place for 2001 Outback info16 Mar 2005 08:10 GMT7
Where is the best place to find info, user review, maintenance info, etc. on
the 2001 Outback. Info regarding it's AWD, how it works, etc.
Are there any groups on the net that are devoted to that? I've found some
but am looking for more.
Subaru AWD vs. Volvo AWD16 Mar 2005 06:48 GMT6
Are there any Volvo owner out there who also have a Subaru?  Or vice
versa?
I am seeking a decent AWD car for a good price, good reliability and
always decent cost.

Where is the antenna that picks up the signal from the keychain remote

Forester security light flashing15 Mar 2005 22:56 GMT1
02 Forester with the factory security system. Had this vehicle since new.
When armed the security light, on the dash, flashes slowly. About once every
2 seconds. It has just started flashing very fast about 2 flashes per
second. It only does this when engine is not on. Arm/disarm ...
