Forester15 Mar 2005 22:40 GMT2
I am considering changing my Isuzu Trooper for a Forester, I have not
decided whether it will be a new one or a late model second hand (it will
probably depend on the best deal I can make)
I have two issues, one is that I have heard that servicing for Subaru's is
Outback Climate Control System15 Mar 2005 19:14 GMT5
Anyone know if it is possible to reprogram the climate control system? I
have 3.0 2004 outback with auto climate control. I wish I had the old manual
system. The auto climate control is poorly programmed. Who would set an air
conditoner to go on in 0-20 degree weather or randomly ...
Acura RD-X15 Mar 2005 12:35 GMT4
On sale 2006. Features SH-AWD' all-wheel drive system. This system
distributes torque not only between the front and rear wheels, but also
between the left and right rear wheels. The result is superior traction on
all surfaces and in all weather conditions, as well as increased ...

Idiot ("Check Engine") light won't go away ...15 Mar 2005 04:26 GMT23
Sometime back (around 45K miles) the "check engine" idiot light
started to come on in my Subaru 2000 Legacy. It has stayed on for
periods as long as a month, before magically disappearing .... and
appearing again. Sometimes, when the light is on, the car starts
2000 Forester Electrical Problems15 Mar 2005 03:55 GMT1
For the past couple months the door locks unlock and lock while I am
driving.  The problem occurs most often during snowy and rainy days.
Sometimes during a short 15 minute trip the locks will trip 40 times.
The noise is very annoying.  The problem has worsened recently.

We just became owners of a 2001 outback ltd with a 2.5L 4cyl engine and
automatic transmission.
The car has somewhat high milage at 75000.
My wife is concerned about some engine noise that is audible from inside the

benefits of buying 2001 Outback 14 Mar 2005 06:52 GMT15
I need to know why buying a 2001 Outback would be a good idea. Where can I
go to read up on this model. Are there any inherent problems with this car.
Some have told me it is very good. I've got one with 31,000 that I can buy
for $15,000. Is this  a good deal? It's in great shape ...
brakes on 01 Outback - Consumer Reports14 Mar 2005 02:19 GMT2
The magazine had many great things to say about Subies, but noted that the 2001
Outback's brakes were problematic. They didn't say in what way.
I googled this group for it, and saw lots of post about squeaky brakes. Nothing
about suddenly failing brakes or the like.
Where is the computer on a 2005 Forester?13 Mar 2005 14:03 GMT4
Thanx in advance.

Full size Subaru12 Mar 2005 23:16 GMT30
Is there ever a chance that Subaru will come out with a full-sized
sedan? I love my Legacy, but I sometimes wish it had more headroom up
front and more legroom in the rear. It would also be nice to have
something bigger then a 4-cyl engine.
Broken Rear-view Mirror on Driver's door12 Mar 2005 17:18 GMT1
I parked my 2004 Forester 2.5X at the curb and when I returned, I found
the mirror on the driver's side door hanging by the wires. Looks like
someone ran into it (they didn't leave a note, though...grrr...). No
other damage on the car, though, thank goodness. I checked out the part
2004 WRX rough idle12 Mar 2005 13:02 GMT4
My 2004 WRX drives fine, but it shakes when I am idling.  I bought it to the
dealer and they say it's normal.  All they suggested to do is to change the
fule filter.  I am going to do that, but just want to know if anything else
could have caused this.  Could anyone give me some ...
