| Cracked windshield with wiper blade heaters? | 09 Mar 2005 00:36 GMT | 26 |
My '05 OBW now features a newly-cracked windshield. I'm pretty sure I heard it "pop" right after I switched-on the wiper blade heater for just the second time, and I was on the dealer's lot within 5 minutes before the several checks (cracks) could propagate much. The origin seems ...

| Fast Pussy | 08 Mar 2005 19:12 GMT | 5 |
I saw in the news today that someone in a Subaru had their cat on the roof as she drove 10 miles at up to 75 mph before being stopped. Kind of neat I thought. ed

| Pulsating brakes/rotor warpage | 08 Mar 2005 01:44 GMT | 5 |
Took my '04 Forester XT-PP in for an oil change yesterday, and asked for a check of my brake discs due to some braking pulsation. Turns out all four needed "resurfacing." (Warranty took care of it.) They checked to see if brake line pressure was correct, and that the ABS is ...

| New Subarus -- can't plug in iPod! | 05 Mar 2005 01:33 GMT | 11 |
I was about to buy a new Subaru, when I realized that neither the Legacy nor the Outback come with a cassette player. Unlike BMW, Subaru has no audio input jack, so the only way I can think of to play iPod songs is with a transmitter, which is far from optimum.

| CELs, the most common question... | 04 Mar 2005 17:23 GMT | 1 |
When my CEL came on in the 98 Legacy, I checked the gas cap. Drove for a few days, and it stayed on, so I made an appt with the dealer. On my way to the shop, it went out, of course. No codes were stored in the computer, which baffled us all.
