Impreza 2005 RS noise30 Apr 2005 17:02 GMT4
Hi,
I am considering buying a new 2005 Impreza RS and I went for a test drive.
In the beginning, I enjoyed the sound of the engine, felt like being in the
real sports car. However, after a while, I had a question in my head: “Is
Forester: sensitive steering wheel30 Apr 2005 16:28 GMT12
Just got my first Subaru, a 99 Forester S :)
Maybe because it's my first time driving a Subaru,
I feel the steering wheel is very sentive to the road.
When the road is not flat, the wheel moves quite a bit.
Naive question - tire size29 Apr 2005 18:55 GMT9
I got 4 snow tires 205/70-15 with my 99 Forester and
I want to sell them. A 2002 Forester owner told me that
her car has 215/60-16 tires on it. Does it mean that my
snow tires won't fit her car?
WTD: Single Michelin XW4 P205/70R1529 Apr 2005 17:20 GMT2
Lucky me!  Had a blow out the other day.  Anyone have a spare XW4 in the
garage?  I have three tires with less than 5k on them and I'd rather not pay
full price for a replacement.
What do you do when faced this this dilemma?

New Tires Improve Shifting?29 Apr 2005 16:02 GMT3
I've been having tramping problems with my WRX for a while now, trying to
figure out why, after all these years I can't get my feet coordinated to
shift smoothly, especially from a standstill in first. Try as I might to
find the sweet spot of clutch slippage to gas, at least a third ...

High brake fluid level?29 Apr 2005 02:53 GMT7
Any opinions.
Took my 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX for a brake inspection and fluid
(brake and clutch) flush.  The shop performed the service with 4-1/2
250ml cans of Motorex DOT 5.1 fluid that I brought in myself.  They
Interesting overheating problem 1991 Subaru Liberty 4wd station wagon.29 Apr 2005 00:31 GMT15
I have an odd problem with my 1991 Subaru Liberty4wd station wagon. The
car has recently had cooling system flushed and then a head gasket
redone. Now when driven in traffic or city roads for middle distance
the temperature gauge moves to half way and stays there. If I take the
Hill Holder Question28 Apr 2005 12:30 GMT9
I'm curious to know. Let's say when I'm at the bottom of a hill, I start my
Forester in 1st gear and of course the hill holder will kick in to hold the
car until I release the clutch. However, when I depress the clutch again to
change to 2nd gear and I'm still climbing the hill, ...
Beware of Beechmont Subaru Cincinnati28 Apr 2005 11:54 GMT8
Hi, Bad experience with service dept. To make a long story short:  My
2002 Forester has had an intermittent engine miss/hesitation for about
6 months. No CEL. I changed fuel filter, plugs, and wires myself,
didn't cure problem. Let local independent have a try at
Forester on highway?28 Apr 2005 07:32 GMT7
My wife wants to buy a 2002 Forester.  We now have a 97 Camry in which I am
very comfortable at 75-80 mph (the normal interstate speed around here).
The Forester is (according to Edmunds) has a wheelbase 8 inches shorter than
the Camry.  I suspect it's going to be evil handling at ...
WRX front tyre wear28 Apr 2005 05:49 GMT5
My 54 plate UK WRX has pretty much eaten the outer & inner edges of the front tyres in 12k. There is 5mm
across 75% of the tyres. The pressure is well above the daft low figures in the manual.
Potenzas BTW, I have swapped them to the rears.
Anyone else had similar problems?
Independent Subaru repair in California Bay area28 Apr 2005 01:04 GMT1
I bought a 1997 Subaru outback recetly & am in the lookout for a good
independent Subaru repair shop. Can anyone refer me to a good one in
the bay area? Preferably south bay.
Thanks,
