Rear Wiper Arm Removal15 Apr 2005 15:08 GMT1
I've experience the (fairly common) problem with the rear wiper on my
98 wagon.  I understand it's common to have the bushing/shaft corrode
enough so that the motor cannot turn the wiper, and that the simple
fix is to enlarge the bore of the bearing slightly, and/or clean off
stock stereo specs?15 Apr 2005 11:52 GMT3
Does anyone have any information on where i can find the specs for the
stock stereo that is in my '03 baja? I've tried asking the local
dealers, and nobody seem to know a thing about them. I've searched
online as well, but haven't been able to turn up anything useful.
timing chain replacment?14 Apr 2005 17:19 GMT7
I own a 2000 Subaru Outback Sport about 55k miles
When should I replace the timing chain on my Subaru. I had an '88 GL
and the chain broke on me 3 times so I'm leery. They told me when I
bought my '00 Outback that I could go 100k before changing it but am
Thinking of replacing Accord with Legacy14 Apr 2005 02:58 GMT6
Two issues with the Accord:
1. Wasn't able to go up the mountain to do skiing without chains.  I thought
front-wheel drive was good enough, but going upgrades meant that the weight
of the car went to the back and the front slipped like crazy.  :-(    AWD
6 cylinder growl14 Apr 2005 00:49 GMT7
Have a 2004 3.0 Outback. When the vehicle is cold and in gear (auto trans)
and stationary, I get a low piched growl which comes up through the
floorboards. The vibration goes away once the car is warm or is taken out of
gear. Is this normal? There are no other symptoms. Car has ...

year.  Anyone do the install?  Is it a huge deal?
Proper way to get behind vents in WRX13 Apr 2005 22:05 GMT2
I have a 2002 WRX and i'm trying to work w/ a turbo gauge that is mounted in
the driver side vent.  What is the proper way to work in this area?  I took
the panel below the steering wheel out and removed the cruise control and
fog light switches and the keyless entry unit and i ...
post-offroad smell and sound13 Apr 2005 20:15 GMT1
I recently took my '91 L-series (carbureted EA82) offroad in light
sand.  After driving for an hour in 4WD-hi (mostly 3rd and 4th) I
stopped and noticed that the car was making a funny sound.  It was sort
of a hum or whirring sound coming from tthe engine compartment.  I
noise after exh install13 Apr 2005 19:44 GMT4
2005 WRX
I went catless (PDE up-pipe, Invidia DP/Mid-Pipe, OEM muffler) and now the
car makes a "whir" sound much like VW bug makes, between 2000 - 3500 RPM,
under all load conditions.  Is this right?  Could a leak be causing this
Stereo Repair advice needed13 Apr 2005 15:23 GMT27
I have a 1998 Outback Limited with 215,000 miles.  Recently the CD player in
the OEM stereo unit failed: it will feed a CD in, but doesn't seem to spin,
and ejects the CD in about 10 seconds.  The dealer said their only repair
option is to have the entire unit "refurbished" at a ...
95 Impreza13 Apr 2005 01:21 GMT4
I have a 95 Impreza Outback LX with 113000 miles. When in Drive or
Reverse and stopped with foot on brake, the car runs very rough.  I
took it to a mechanic and he suggested a tune-up to specifically check
the timing, plugs and wires. Does this sound right?
Low mileage Japanese engines?13 Apr 2005 00:15 GMT8
Well, it finally happened! After 360,301 miles, my trusty '90 Loyale
lost power, coughed a huge cloud of white smoke, gasped one last breath
and died near the top of a long grade a coupla days ago. Considering the
fact it wasn't particularly well cared for the first 209k miles of ...
tires size 1994 impreza12 Apr 2005 19:29 GMT1
I currently have the stock rims (13") on my 94 impreza with the recommended
165/80/13 tires.
I want to replace them with 14" rims from a cavalier with 175/70/14. I
wondering if this is possible or if the maximum size is the stock size.
Hit 100K miles yesterday!11 Apr 2005 22:28 GMT4
Just hit 100K miles on my 99 SUS Ltd yesterday.... I seem to remember seeing a website somewhere that's a "club" of sorts for 100K + mile
owners - can anyone post the link?
squeaking noise at low speeds11 Apr 2005 20:41 GMT2
I just bought a used 2000 Subaru Outback and I have started noticing a
'squeaking sound' when I am moving in first and second gears. I am not
sure if the sound dissapears after that or I just dont hear it over the
wind (since I have my windows down to try and hear the sound). I am
