| Forester Cold Air Intake -- worth it? | 11 May 2005 01:51 GMT | 3 |
Hi group... Since I've gotten my '03 NA US model Forester I've felt that it was a bit restricted, breathing-wise. While I was changing my air filter today (what genius designed the air filter box on this engine, anyway?) I thought

Before I bought my Forester two years ago from a private party, I watched this site for a while. It had 6,000 miles on it, and a recall for the reverse(?) had been fixed. I remember someone talking about a recall for the gamma sensor

| Driving Lights Mounting Position | 10 May 2005 11:14 GMT | 2 |
I'm looking at installing driving lights to supplement the OEM headlights in my 98 Outback Wagon. I've settled on either Hella FF 50 or Hella FF Micro lamps as the best-fitting solution, considering both lamp size and beam pattern. With either of these, I have the option of ...

I plan to buy a brand new car in 1 to 2 months. A neighbor told me to do research on Internet and then do to the dealer and ask to talk with the fleet manager and tell what I want and be done with it. I prefer to spend time researching on Internet instead of listening to

I have a ’01 Forrester (automatic) that is having some issues. When taking off from a stop, the car hesitates and chokes it way to finally going. Sometimes, it will not go past 2,000 rpm even if the gas pedal is pressed down all the way, and then all of a sudden it will go. ...

| Knock sensor replacement question | 07 May 2005 03:02 GMT | 7 |
I need to replace the knock sensor on my '99 Outback. I've located the sensor. Can I gain access to the connector by just removing the alternator? Do I have to drain the radiator fluid? The Haynes manual I have says to remove the intake manifold to remove it. That looks like ...

The CD player in my 98 OBL broke several months ago, and the Suby dealer says it would cost $400 to repair it. I see a bunch of newer stereos with built-in 6-CD changers on Ebay for around $100 that seem to fit the DIN-2 format. Would a stereo unit from, say, a 2005 WRX fit and ...
