Forester Cold Air Intake -- worth it?11 May 2005 01:51 GMT3
Hi group...
Since I've gotten my '03 NA US model Forester I've felt that it was a
bit restricted, breathing-wise. While I was changing my air filter today
(what genius designed the air filter box on this engine, anyway?) I thought
Forester '0310 May 2005 23:32 GMT2
Before I bought my Forester two years ago from a private party,
I watched this site for a while.  It had 6,000 miles on it, and a recall
for the reverse(?) had been fixed.
I remember someone talking about a recall for the gamma sensor

Driving Lights Mounting Position10 May 2005 11:14 GMT2
I'm looking at installing driving lights to supplement the OEM headlights in
my 98 Outback Wagon.  I've settled on either Hella FF 50 or Hella FF Micro
lamps as the best-fitting solution, considering both lamp size and beam
pattern.  With either of these, I have the option of ...
buying a brand new subaru10 May 2005 05:56 GMT13
I plan to buy a brand new car in 1 to 2 months. A neighbor told me to
do research on Internet and then do to the dealer and ask to talk with
the fleet manager and tell what I want and be done with it.
I prefer to spend time researching on Internet instead of listening to
2005 Outback XT electrical10 May 2005 04:36 GMT1
My wife has about 7000 miles on her Outback which to this point has been perfect.
Today she started the car and noticed that some of the electrical devices (radio, climate control) were dead,  Other things such as the clock and heated seats were working.  Suddenly all systems ...
parking lights09 May 2005 19:09 GMT2
I have a 2000 Subaru Legacy L wagon with 46,000 miles on it. Bought it
in March.
I can't turn the parking lights on when the engine is off. Am I supposed
to be able to? I might never have tried before.
Should I get 2 or 4 new tires?09 May 2005 18:21 GMT7
Hi all--
I've reviewed some of the threads but I'd like to revisit a tire topic.
Bear with me if this seems like a long post:
- I have -- and love-- my 99 MT Subaru Forester S. I replaced the stock
Forrester: hesitation and problems when accelerating09 May 2005 17:35 GMT10
I have a ’01 Forrester (automatic) that is having some issues.  When taking
off from a stop, the car hesitates and chokes it way to finally going.
Sometimes, it will not go past 2,000 rpm even if the gas pedal is pressed
down all the way, and then all of a sudden it will go.  ...

Assurance or Customer Service (or equivalent) departments in  Subaru

To make the long story short. After fighting with Subaru for more then
Knock sensor replacement question07 May 2005 03:02 GMT7
I need to replace the knock sensor on my '99 Outback. I've located the
sensor. Can I gain access to the connector by just removing the alternator?
Do I have to drain the radiator fluid? The Haynes manual I have says to
remove the intake manifold to remove it. That looks like ...
Will new stereo work in 98 Outback?06 May 2005 18:19 GMT10
The CD player in my 98 OBL broke several months ago, and the Suby dealer
says it would cost $400 to repair it.  I see a bunch of newer stereos with
built-in 6-CD changers on Ebay for around $100 that seem to fit the DIN-2
format.  Would a stereo unit from, say, a 2005 WRX fit and ...
IPOD06 May 2005 10:35 GMT4
Has anyone successfully installed an IPOD into a 2005 Forester by an
means? Thanks!--
