Cracked upper rad outlet06 Jun 2005 22:34 GMT3
Can anyone recommend a temporary remedy for a cracked upper radiator
outlet for a 96 Subaru Outback, until the radiator is replaced?

Does anyone know how to replace the fog lamp bulb? I was able to remove

Impreza shudders when turning06 Jun 2005 01:15 GMT10
A quite annoying problem that has been plaguing my baby baby for a few
months now - when I make a u-turn or a sharp turn that involves a lot of
wheel cranking, the car shudders. I feel like the shuddering is coming from
the front, but it is hard to tell. Any idea what could be ...

Forester piston slap - long term effects05 Jun 2005 18:39 GMT4
I've 50,000 miles on my 2002 Forester and the temperature that the
piston slap becomes noticable has seem to rise from the 42F degrees
that it originally seemed to be to seemingly all the time.  Even in
warm weather I have what I would have previously described as a lifter
Thumps and Thuds04 Jun 2005 15:25 GMT8
Hello Usergroup,  You all have been a great resource.  I have another one
for you that has me baffled.  Something with the brakes/suspension/steering
mech.  My 1999 Forester gives a slight shimmy with feedback through the
steering wheel when braking.  I've been told that the ...
Mounting 6 disc stacker?04 Jun 2005 15:08 GMT5
Does anybody have any instructions/information on how to mount the Clarion 6
disc stacker under the front pasanger seat? Which is from what I've read is
where Subaru usually mounts the unit. As to not loose any boot space.

Update on AT Temp light flashing03 Jun 2005 13:45 GMT2
Last week I posted about the AT Temp warning light flashing 16 times when I
start the car.  Yesterday it stopped doing that.  I suppose that enough
cycles had passed without error that the code was cleared.  Thanks to all
who provided their experience and knowledge of this ...
Need light-duty hitch on WRX STi...03 Jun 2005 12:17 GMT14
No, I don't need to haul a boat, just 2-3 mountain bikes on a Thule
bike carrier.
(Please don't preach that I should have gotten a wagon...)
Is it confirmed that the part sold in the U.S. for the Wagon
Upper rad hose03 Jun 2005 04:53 GMT2
I haven't done my own mechanical work in years.  I found
anti-freeze/coolant dripping from my upper radiator hose,  When I
squeeze it it drips from where the hose meets the upper rad.  I guess I
should change the hose and the clamps.  My question is, does one still

Does anyone have, or know where I can obtain a copy of the manual for a 2004
Legacy wagon (latest shape).
Thanks in advance.

Outbacks in Oregon02 Jun 2005 17:14 GMT3
I live in northern California.  Last weekend I
drove up to Washington and back on highway 97

I was amazed at the number of Outback wagons I

Ouch -- Feel like I just got mugged!02 Jun 2005 07:22 GMT4
I got new front and rear brake pads and new rotors put on the Forester...
I got the work done at a local mechanic (not the dealer) -- the mechanic
has a good reputation for good work (but is not the cheapest place).
But WOW...the bill was large -- the price of parts alone was ...
