Just got a 2005 Forester XS in New Jersey, which I am very glad to
have.
Looking thru the US/Canadian owner's maunual, I see page 3-16 talks
about "Vehicle Dynamics Control warning light (if equipped)".

Yesterday I (luckily) checked the oil level on my 22'000 km Legacy
(about 14'000 miles) and it came out ...dry. I could empty a full 2
liters in it.
That car was serviced by and according to Subaru and I checked the oil

The original air filer for my 2004 OB Sedan Ltd. is 16546AA080. The
Purolator replacement is suppose to be A24278. It does not fit I
believe because of metal additions to the Purolator filter. Has anyone
else experienced this? Anyone know of another replacemet, Purolator or

I suspect this a generic problem not a " subaru isse " . Anyway.......my
daughters 97 Legacy L 2.2 ABS four wheel disc. Pedal has  alot of travel to
it before braking is effective. It is not spongy - no air etc....just takes
a bit more travel than I like. I never had such an ...

removed, you cannot get the car started again using your security pin
number?

I am given conflicting "advice" from "experts"about the battery charging on
my 03 Forester, because I only do low miles..
One says the battery is only charged when cruising,the other says it only
charges when a load is applied  or on over-run[free running down hill]

I have an 86 XT 1.8 non-turbon MPFI that is giving me fits.  I
overhauled the engine 2 years ago, and everything has been working
fine, until lately when I have been having trouble getting it started
in the mornings.  I have to crank and crank and finally one cylinder

How do the different engines (2.5 vs 2.5 turbo) feel when driving a
forrester or impreza?
Do they feel different right from the start (low RPM), or do they feel the
same until the RPM reaches, say, 3000?

A couple weeks ago my '95 Legacy (EJ22) began running rough on a cold start,
but only after sitting for at least 24 hours.  Driving it daily seems to
