faulty 95 legacy lsi alarm19 Aug 2005 03:25 GMT1
I have a  1995 lsi which i purchased a couple months back and the passive
alarm randomly goes off sometime every hour for no reason. it might go a
couple weeks without going off then for 12 hours straight will go off. I have
disconeccted the horn so my neibors don't kill me but the ...
Proper following distance to reduce windshield damage, and other related concerns.18 Aug 2005 18:59 GMT17
OK, I give up. I can't keep a new windshield on a car. Two weeks on
fresh glass in my old GL, and it's already cracked beyond legality :-P
So. Howzabout some discussion on the subject.
It seems to me that the only "safe" distance behind those darned
Forester '06 - manual or auto?18 Aug 2005 17:31 GMT16
Hello all, from a very sunny and warm Warsaw, Poland
I am disgusted with my Ford Galaxy V6 (long story, not the time or
place here), and am looking at changing to a Forester 2.5XT full spec.
Basic question to you, the experts, is: MANUAL or AUTO?
Forester 99 - Cruise Control not working18 Aug 2005 07:29 GMT4
Hi all, I just bought a 99 Forester and the cruise control switch fails to
do anything (light up, engage cc, etc).  I've checked the fus and all looks
ok?  Many thanks in advance, Graham
My first Tribeca sighting18 Aug 2005 01:24 GMT7
From day one of the pix of the new Tribeca I've thought it was pretty ugly.
Well, a couple of days ago I saw a Tribeca on the road and shut my mouth,
I actually thought it looked pretty good.  I snuck a couple of peeks
inside one a few nights later after my dealership closed and ...
Definition of a SUV17 Aug 2005 12:24 GMT78
I see Subaru is redefining the SUV.  My definition is a vehicle I can
strap ski's, bikes and canoe's on or take a load of trash to the dump
with.  I wonder what they think it is.
;-)

still haven 't driven any manual stick yet, though I know the concept.

Toronto, and willing to pay a bit. :P
To Amanda and Dr. Rasti...17 Aug 2005 02:36 GMT8
Just to assure you that you serve a necessary purpose on boards like
this one. Reassuring all the others that they are OK, normal, holier
than you, etc. It's especially evident in the posts of those who are
trying to teach you a lesson. All of this is a little sad to read but an
Plugged EGR system leads to burned oil rings over time -- cautionary16 Aug 2005 23:13 GMT6
Cautionary, because this information wasn't something I found when I
need to know it last March before I bought a used 1988 GL Subaru wagon.
The EGR system had a problem the previous owner's mechanic hadn't
solved -- kept getting the engine check light code for EGR valve
Towing a Subaru Loyale with the back wheels on the road16 Aug 2005 19:32 GMT4
There are lots of posts about towing with a Loyale, but none about
towing one. I have a 1994 Loyale wagon, manual gearbox, selectable 4WD
using a switch on the gearstick. Its not constant AWD. Do I have to put
it on a trailer, or can I tow it with the back wheels on the ground,
Any tuning needed if ECU gets replaced?16 Aug 2005 17:09 GMT12
Vehicle: 1992 Subaru Legacy L AWD wagon non-turbo
If I replace the engine computer (ECU), do I need to do any timing or other
tuning due to the replacement?  That is, is the ECU tweaked after
installation to match the current state of the vehicle?  Due to other
Cruise not working on '98 Impreza Outback sport16 Aug 2005 06:53 GMT2
I recently purchased a 1998 Impreza Outback Sport with 135,000 mi.  This
car runs great and everything is in great working order, except the
cruise control.
Recently, I decided to have my mechanic look at the cruise control.  He
E-85 Gasoline/Ethanol blends.      OK for Subaru Turbo?16 Aug 2005 05:23 GMT20
I recently saw this post on a Las Vegas, NV based newsgroup. $1.99 a
gallon is sure better than the $2.76 for 91 octane needed for the
turbo.
Does anyone know if this information is the result of an urban legend,
Sometimes runs way too rich - Computer or oxygen sensor?16 Aug 2005 04:51 GMT17
Vehicle info: '92 Subaru Legacy L wagon 4WD non-turbo
Sometimes when I start my car, the exhaust is far too rich and detonates
back in the catalytic converter.  When it happens seems sporadic.  The
weather could be cold or hot, humid or dry, and the car may have been
Turning problem16 Aug 2005 02:26 GMT3
Our 95 Legacy Wagon "lurches", for lack of a better term, when turning at
low speeds.  It feels like what my 4x4 truck does when it is locked in 4
wheel drive and you make a sharp turn. The guy that does our alignment
work said that it is not "locked in" and he didn't know what it ...
