Subary consumer affairs10 Aug 2005 21:12 GMT30
I talked with subaru consumer affairs and learned that if the paint is
factory defect, it would be under warranty. The paint problem on the
front bumper might pass for factory defect.  It would ahve to be
determined.
subaru impreza or saab 92x?10 Aug 2005 09:55 GMT13
ok, now I realized that saab 92x is indeed a subaru with saab shell, but
I've heard that it's much better interior, more reliable, and much more
stiff suspension.
Also I have $3500 accumulation on my GM visa card which can spent on Saab.
Another 96 OBW overheating question10 Aug 2005 00:56 GMT2
Sorry to bore anyone on another question of this nature.  My 96 OBW
(w/178k miles) when idling does not overheat at all.  If does overheat
when it is in drive.  Does that mean that the headgaskets are gone or
could it be something else?  Thanks.

I have an 02 WRX with the 6 disc cd changer and factory subwoofer.  When i
turn on my dome light the sub woofer dims it during a kickdrum in the song.
I never thought that sub was very loud, so why is it dimming the lights?  a
week ago i got a new battery because the original one ...
Click & Clack - bit off topic09 Aug 2005 22:50 GMT4
Anyone read the Sunday Click and Clack, The Tappet Brothers, column on
August 2??
You WILL NOT BELIEVE IT!  Someone who ought NOT to be behind the wheel
reported that his locking ignition switch malfunctioned three times
95 outback09 Aug 2005 20:22 GMT5
1995 Subaru OUTBACK Air Conditioning problem:  It appears that cool air
comes in intermittently.  I tried increasing the RPM at stoplights but that
doesn't seem to change much.
I did try to disengage and reengage the a/c switch on the dash.  It may have
Gas guage sender unit09 Aug 2005 19:17 GMT3
Any idea where the gas guage sender unit is located in a 1995 outback wagon?
New OBW LL Bean - fiberlass or aluminum?09 Aug 2005 07:24 GMT1
Just got a new OBW, LL Bean model and when I moved the <Support Our
Troops> magnetic ribbon from my old car to the rear hatch door of the
OBW, much to my surprise it would not stick, no matter where I put it
on the hatch.  Had to slap it on the side, next to the gas tank filler
Right-hand side mirror won't go up-down - Outback 2002 2.5L 4AT09 Aug 2005 06:47 GMT5
I have Outback 2002 2.5 4AT. My problem is with right-hand side mirror.
It won't go up or down when I try to adjust it.
So, the switch (on the driver's door) for mirror adjustment is set on
right-hand side mirror and I can move the mirror left-right, but cannot
gusset front window leaks air08 Aug 2005 09:49 GMT10
the gusset (small triangle front rubber) of my right frontwindow of my
Forester '99 leaks air, so a hissing noise is heard at highway speed.
When I push the gusset (from inside ofcourse) against the window the
windnoise disappears.
Contacting your Subaru district manager08 Aug 2005 02:35 GMT24
How to go about it?
When I refused to take the car home last Thursday until they took care
of some thing, I ended up taking the discounted offer of perma plate
that protects UV and bird droppings, etc. (7 years warranty).
06 Forester - trouble starting two different NEW cars.07 Aug 2005 19:02 GMT6
We just purchased a new 06 forester 2.5X (the base model) in a 5 speed.
Prior to buying the car I rented the exact same car but in an automatic. The
rental had ~1000Km (I'm from Canada). I really liked the rental car, but did
have one problem. Sometimes the engine took a bit of ...
To Todd w.r.t extnd warranty06 Aug 2005 17:13 GMT1
I typed www.currysubaru.com and ended up getting NY subaru site.
I remembered seeing your posting that the curry Subaru in Masachusette

can't even find that thread of yours when I clicked on the link
3rd Light Benefits?06 Aug 2005 15:47 GMT43
This may not be the appropriate forum, but there have been many good
discussions in this group.
We've had third brake lights in our vehicles now for say 10 years or so.
Has anyone or any agency documented whether or not there had been any
Subaru Forester NEw Zealand06 Aug 2005 13:25 GMT1
could anybody tell me what the Pollenfilter should look like? We got part
number 72880SA000  says 050422A on the box, too. Is this the right filter
for someone with allergies, or is this just a "normal" air filter? Just
thought I should ask before I install it...
