Forester Stereo Kit05 Aug 2005 22:36 GMT2
Does anyone know of a supplier for a stereo mounting kit to mount an
after-market stereo in a late model Forester?  I tried

install a system with an iPod connection and/or with the capability to
Slanting rear wheel on '89 L05 Aug 2005 12:28 GMT3
One of the rear wheels on my '89 L-series 4WD wagon slopes inward (i.e.
top of wheel closer to vehicle centreline than bottom of wheel) a LOT
more than I think it should. All otherwheels are more-or-less vertical.
The rear tire opposite the one that slants had an uneven wear pattern ...

I have a 200 Forester.  I want to be able to charge batteries for an
R/C Airplane while the car is parked.  Is there a way to supply power
to the outlet in the rear cargo area even when the ignition is turned
off?
'95 Legacy LSI Front End wobble...04 Aug 2005 21:15 GMT6
I have a 1995 Legacy LSI with 109K miles. All is well except that at about
65-70mph there is a noticeable wobble in the steering wheel. If speed is
raised above 70, it goes away. The brakes were changed at the dealership
years ago and I still have the original rotors. I also have ...
Explosion and loud noise under hood04 Aug 2005 19:47 GMT5
Today I drove my 2000 Subaru Outback in hot weather with the A/C on for
about 15 minutes. I got back home and pulled into my driveway. I
stopped the engine and within a minute, restarted so I could pull the
car forward. As I started, I heard a small explosion under my hood and

2005 Legacy Transmission Failure04 Aug 2005 06:37 GMT16
My relatively new 2005 Legacy 2.5i had a catastrophic automatic
transmission failure three weeks ago, and I'm still bickering with a
dealer about the quality of the repair.
The torque converter bushing failed, taking the seal, allowing most of
Binned the Bridgestones on my WRX04 Aug 2005 03:26 GMT2
& replaced them with a set of Khumo (numbers escape me) Khumo (in the UK) are seen as a bit of a budget
tyre, they cost me £280 for four & the difference on my WRX is amazing, dry grip is scary, wet grip is
superb, they are miles quieter as any speed & they have a nice kerb ...

Even when it is cool outside and I have just the _vent_ on (no A/C) and the

I have a 2004 Subaru Baja.  Does anyone know where the Inertia
Resonance Valve Solenoid switch is?
We were in an accident in our Lincoln and the fuel was automatically
cut off.  Had we know that the inertia switch is in the trunk, we would
2004 STi - new owner questions03 Aug 2005 12:02 GMT19
I just bought a US-market 2004 Impreza WRX STi. It's very pleasant to
drive and, I think, is very good value indeed. I'm new to these cars,
so I'm curious about the answers to some things that I've been
wondering about:
I love my Outie03 Aug 2005 02:11 GMT1
I just returned from a 1400 mile drive to Delaware and back to
Michigan, driving my '02 Outback Ltd wagon. I've gone on shorter trips
in other cars which caused me great back pain and stiffness in legs,
arms and neck. Not so in my Outback. The ride was absolutely SMOOTH
please recommend a mechanic in Delaware County PA03 Aug 2005 00:22 GMT2
Some years ago I relied upon a mechanic recommendation given to me on the
Saab newsgroup. A number of people seconded the recommendation. The shop was
honest and did quality work. Hoping to repeat the experience! Is there a
highly regarded shop that repairs Subarus in Delaware ...
