Can anyone tell me the amount of acceptable resistance on a spark plug wire for a 95 2.2? I can't find the number in the Haynes manual although I recall 18,000-24000 ohms. Can someone verify?

Had the same poblem. The switch can be reached via the door-side of the lock assy. There is a "lever" that is stuck and needs to be made movable and some oil after that. Hans

As for the subie oil drain plug gasket get yourself a COPPER WASHER from OIL-TITE instead! It is their part # 65277 (M20) and it fits almost every Subaru model having a 20mm oil plug. I have used these copper

Had first oil change at Sub dealer on a Forester. Oil level is 1 inch above the dipstick full line, on flat surface, first thing in the morning. I assume this is too high???
