Plug wire resistance10 Sep 2005 15:10 GMT1
Can anyone tell me the amount of acceptable resistance on a spark plug wire

recall 18,000-24000 ohms.
Can someone verify?

Had the same poblem. The switch can be reached via the door-side of the
lock assy. There is a "lever" that is stuck and needs to be made movable
and some oil after that.

Subaru oil drain plug washer alternative09 Sep 2005 00:15 GMT17
As for the subie oil drain plug gasket get yourself a COPPER WASHER
from OIL-TITE instead!
It is their part # 65277 (M20) and it fits almost every
Subaru model having a 20mm oil plug.   I have used these copper

Cannot find replacement cargo cover for 02 OBW08 Sep 2005 18:44 GMT15
I have searched just about every Subaru parts company I can find
through Google, yet I cannot seem to find this very simple part.  It's
the retractable cargo cover (like a window shade) for my luggage area.
The retractability has suddenly gone kablooey after 4 years and it's a
Daytime running lights waste gas MPG?07 Sep 2005 23:08 GMT16
Judge 4 yourself:  http://www.howstuffworks.com/question424.htm
I'm going to try disconnecting the DRL resistor on
my 03 OBW just to see if there's a measurable change
due to less loading down of the alternator.
Forester - Maximizing Fuel Mileage?07 Sep 2005 12:31 GMT23
With gas prices increasing by the day, like most people I would like to
maximize my overall gas mileage on my 2001 Forester (automatic
transmission).  Normally, I get about 24-25 mpg in mixed driving.
At what engine rpm does the engine run most efficiently?  Although I've
Oil level07 Sep 2005 01:49 GMT12

I assume this is too high???
Premium fuel in Outback XT07 Sep 2005 00:50 GMT8
Has anyone else had any experience running reg fuel in the 2005 Outback
2.5XT? When I ran reg, I saw my mileage drop from a high of 22 to 18 so
I've stayed with the premium. At today's prices, I'm considering
mid-grade, but just wondering what sort of performance others are
Monitoring Fuel Use and Prices06 Sep 2005 21:49 GMT2
I use a site that monitors fuel prices and has a fuel log book that you can
use for your vehicle. The data is returned in L/100km or MPG (Imperial)
Heres the URL: http://www.bcgasprices.com
And here's a sample of the summary for my vehicle (04 Forester 5spd):

My son has a 1991 Subaru Liberty Station Wagon (Australia) and the fuel
guage is acting up. It suddenly drops to empty after the half way mark.
The servicing agent says it is the sensor in the tank that needs
