| Whistling noise | 18 Nov 2005 18:38 GMT | 14 |
2001 Subaru Outback wagon. There is a strange whistling/buzzing noise when up to speed (more than about 55 mph.) It seems to be affected by the wind. It appears to originate just outside the left (driver's) window.

| Check Engine light after clutch replacement | 18 Nov 2005 17:37 GMT | 6 |
I've got a question about a friends' subaru. It's a 1995 or 96 (he doesn't know) Legacy wagon (2.2L). He just took the car in for a new clutch and when he got it back the check engine light was on. He took it back and the mechanic gave him the usual BS about the O2 sensor and

| Beige :( | 18 Nov 2005 13:19 GMT | 4 |
Is it just me, or is anybody else dissatisfied with the lack of choice in the color of the interior of the Foresters (US market)? I don't really like beige very much, and unfortunately, nearly all of the 2006 Foresters seem to only come with a beige interior...

| 10yr/250,000mi warranty?? | 17 Nov 2005 07:18 GMT | 2 |
I saw the local Mazda/Subaru Dealership offering a 10 Year / 250,000 mile warranty with the sale of a new Subaru or Mazda. Unfortunately I swung through the lot after closing hours but all the new vehicles had tags in the window. Is this just a promotional thing for this region ...

| LGT cabin air filter "offer" from SOA | 17 Nov 2005 00:16 GMT | 2 |
Got my new Legacy GT a few weeks ago. Today I get in the mail from SOA a wonderful <sarcasm> offer to *install* a cabin filtration system. I assume it's the same (if not identical) thing as in my WRX. I wonder though why, first off, it wouldn't be stock in their most "upscale" ...

| Looking to get a Subaru Impreza Wagon. Seeking Advice. | 16 Nov 2005 21:50 GMT | 38 |
I am looking to get a Subaru Impreza Wagon, probably 2002-2004 range, depending on price. What I would like to hear opinions on is how is the Manual 5-speed on these models?

| Wonder if my impreza 2.5i wagon has a real center differential. | 16 Nov 2005 18:16 GMT | 2 |
I've been reading some topics, and one thing makes me concerning that if my 2006 impreza 2.5i wagon manual has a real center differential? because it seems to me that it only mentions the viscous coupling locking mechanism... does it lack the real geared center differential?

| 2000 Forester headlight switch | 16 Nov 2005 14:10 GMT | 3 |
The headlight switch on my 2000 Forester (on the end of the turn signal stalk) is getting progressively more flakey - when I use the turn signals or wiggle the switch the headlights flicker off and on. The problem seems localized to the switch/knob portion (i.e. not down in

| What do I need to drive to ski resort (Whistler)? | 16 Nov 2005 06:35 GMT | 6 |
I am going to a ski trip to Whistler (British Columbia, Canada) on the first week of December. I am driving a 2005 Subaru Forester 2.5x. Do I need snow tires? Or snow chains? I have no experience at all since I used to drive to a bus stop and let the resort's bus take me up to the

| Subaru Has the Fog Lights Wrong | 16 Nov 2005 05:35 GMT | 39 |
2005 Subaru OBW, L.L. Bean edition. Unless I am reading the manual wrong or doing something else wrong, I believe that the Subaru engineers have made a serious mistake with their fog light.

| OBW Passenger Door | 15 Nov 2005 22:42 GMT | 1 |
May sound like an odd question, but what the hey, I'll ask it anyway. 2005 OBW, L.L. Bean edition. We park the car in a sloped driveway and like to pull in nose first. When we do so, three out of our four doors will stay open. I.e., the driveway isn't so steep that you ...
