With an eye toward shopping for a '90something Outback, I'm gathering the
hard-earned wisdom here. I hear about head gasket issues with later models -
anybody able to say when the vulnerable engines came out, and any other
details?

I am thinking about buying a car. Which car, Subaru Legacy (Liberty) or
Subaru Outback gives a better fun ? Provided the cars are equally
powered and will be used predominantly in the city. Thanks.

Just a short info to let you know that the Subaru Outback and Legacy
integrated 6 disks changer (as in my '04 Legacy H6) can play both CD-R
and CD-RW audio disks. I successfuly tried up to the equivalent of
700MB. I use it to listen to podcasts while commuting.

I have an 05 OBW with 15000 klm (9000 mls) on the clock. The car is fitted
with Geolander G900 tyres. I needed to remove one of the rear wheels today
