1999 Subaru Legacy Outback. Trying to determine if recent accident or

I've been doing some research on the 2006 Subaru Outback 2.5i Base
Model with Auto Trans (I can't afford anything better with a 25k price
limit) and would like people's opinions on anyone who drives the 06 or

I own an 03 OBW with approx 71000 miles.  I recently had the head gaskets
replaced due to leaking antifreeze... I have since noticed that on cold
mornings upon start up , a tapping noise - I have checked the oill level and
its fine.  The noise usually disppears once the car warns ...
