I have a 2000 Outback Wagon with approximately 83,000 miles. It has had the

coolant seepage at the head gasket which was repaired under the recall
warranty extension.

I purchased my 98 Impreza Outback Sport from a used car dealer in Maine
only a few weeks ago and put almost 4k on it driving it out to LA.
Soon after hitting Nashville, my speedometer became stuck at 40 mph. I
soon found out that when driving between 0 and 60 the speedometer

Last week or so, clock is going off and on. Now off for the last two days.
Had electric wiring problems five months ago (power windows/sunroof were
affected) but dealer fixed problem.  Any ideas or help about clock would
be helpful.  Fuses are all OK!
OBD II - Monitors still not ready14 Jan 2006 03:07 GMT2
My 2004 WRX was rear-ended back in November, and just got out of the
shop on Saturday (over 40 days). While it was in there, the inspection
and emissions expired. I took the car in yesterday and they weren't
able to perform the emissions test because the Catalyst and Evaporative
`95 Legacy L & rear brake grinding13 Jan 2006 18:47 GMT3
My mom made mention yesterday of noticing a weird grinding noise and feeling
coming from the right rear wheel area of the vehicle when she pressed on the
brake.  She first noticed this when driving on the interstate where it only
did it once while getting off at an exit ramp.  It ...

My 95 Legacy L Wagon right rear brake line failed, and I need to replace
it.
Got underneath the rear, and it appears as though I have to drop the gas
tank (and possibly more) to get access to the brake line.

Oil Drain Plug Torque13 Jan 2006 06:49 GMT11
What is the factory torque specification for the oil drain plug on the 05
Baja sport?   BTW, I think it would be the same on the 04 Legacy's.
Thanks, George
Bad/dead alternator - association with whine?13 Jan 2006 06:36 GMT7
Oddly, when I started my 95 Legacy up this morning I heard a new sound, a
whine.  The whine (not a screech) was audible right away but was a little
more noticeable when the accelerator was pressed.  I drove about 5 miles in
city traffic, then the car was parked for 90 minutes, ...

Oil Separator Leak '97 Legacy Wagon13 Jan 2006 03:55 GMT5
My Dad's wagon was taken into the dealer for its regular oil change at
68k miles.  Afterward we noticed a smell and some oil drops on the
driveway.  Gave it about 5 days but after it didn't stop, brought it
back to the dealer.  They say it's the oil separator cover leaking.  My
Broken CD player/ instructions how to remove12 Jan 2006 12:54 GMT6
Hi all, I am so glad I found this group. I have a 1999 Subaru Legacy
with a factory cd player. The cd player will accept the cds but it does
not recognize the cd, the cds will not play. I can not afford to have
the cd player serviced and I would like and try to work in it myself

thinking of mounting 1/2 inch plywood to the the two racks, drill some
holes  to allow mutiplte load attach points.  I know that the manual
bad smell after clutch change12 Jan 2006 00:34 GMT4
Ever since I had the clutch changed on my 92 Legacy (standard shift), a
bad burning smell emanates in the cabin every time I use the clutch in
first gear (on an incline). The person who changed the clutch also said he
had the pressure plate machined for a good fit. The clutch still ...
