Can I drive my car with this problem?27 Mar 2006 14:40 GMT7
I've recently (about a week or so) started to smell burning rubber
whenever I come to a stop in my 2001 Forester. I think I found the
problem. The shaft that goes to the RF wheel has a black rubber
covering thats ripped and all around it is grease or something that has
1999 Subaru Legecy27 Mar 2006 05:21 GMT1
Does anyone know what code reader I can use on Subaru?  I need to check and
reset my CEL.
4 or 6 Cylinder Outback?27 Mar 2006 01:40 GMT41
A 6-cylinder obviously has more power (and eats more gas!), but what is
the overall driving experience (and likely reliability) as compared to
an equivalently configured 4-cylinder?
Specifically 2004-2006 models...
2.5L Engine Question27 Mar 2006 00:20 GMT17
Does anyone know or know of where I can find when Subaru phase two and
phase 3 engines were built. This has to do with head gasket leaks.
Thanks in advance for any information.
Loyale Fuel Pump26 Mar 2006 22:27 GMT4
I was looking for a replacement fuel pump for my sister's 1994 Loyale
(AWD Wagon)
I needed defibrilators when the parts guy told me the price (sounded
more like a speeding fine to me)
Bleeding the heater Core26 Mar 2006 22:18 GMT1
What is the best and most sucessful way to bleed the coolant from the
heater core in my 1995 Subaru Legacy 2.0l wagon 4x4. I have air
bubbling around in it and I want to make sure that it's not an air lock
before I start considering what else the bubbling noise could be from.
2001 Outback Wagon Headlight replacement26 Mar 2006 22:18 GMT11
I just noticed on a trip to Michigan this past week that I have a right
front low-beam headlight bulb burnt out.  I was going to replace this bulb
while in MI as I thought I could unscrew the 1 screw and 2 bolts that hold
the headlight unit in.  I was moderately surprised to ...
2006 OBW Limited Package & Manual Transmission26 Mar 2006 04:18 GMT11
The Subaru web site indicates that the 2006 Outback wagon
can be purchased (in the US) with both the Limited package
and a manual transmission.  However, my local dealer just
told me that Subaru stopped making the OBW Limited with
Forester XT26 Mar 2006 01:02 GMT4
How reliable is turbo engine in new Forester? I have a 2001 Forester with
auto (non-turbo)...it feels a bit underpowered at high elevations (6000+
ft.)...is XT much better? Does XT use super gasoline only? What's the gas
milage (for XT)?
how to buy a new 2005 in 200625 Mar 2006 12:22 GMT4
I was wondering what all the dealers do with the 2005 wrx's that they
weren't able to sell.
I'm asking because, I'm searching for a 2005 and was hoping to get a
decent deal on 2005 wrx's that weren't sold.
WRX Cold Weather Transmission Slip25 Mar 2006 05:02 GMT8
I have a 2002 WRX wagon with the 4EAT automatic transmission.
The problem I have is only during cold weather (32 deg F)
after sitting all night. I'll take off from my drive way
in the morning, going uphill, and try to accelerate hard
Engine overheat and cool air -thermostat?24 Mar 2006 23:41 GMT10
Yesterday coming home from work in -10 C, a 26 km drive,
I was getting just cold air through the heater. I was watching the temp
guage all the way home and as I got near my home about 20 minutes in,
the temp guage on my pickup was at the red line.
Subaru Legacy 98 airbag warning light24 Mar 2006 15:40 GMT1
Does anyone know the procedure to reset this light. Mine comes on
sporadically about every 12 months. Sometimes it goes off again
sometimes not. I took it to the agents and they couldn't find a fault
but it was good for 12 months. Now it's one again. It costs me every
Cash back offers24 Mar 2006 13:17 GMT3
I'm starting to look at Outbacks and I'm curious if there has been a
typical yearly cycle for cash back offers on new OBs. I've driven VWs
since '90, so I'm a little new on the Subaru's...and yes, I realize
there's $2000 offer ending soon. It's just a little too soon for me to
Jacking point?24 Mar 2006 11:50 GMT1
I have an 06 OBW and want to jack up both front wheel simultaneously
using my roll-around 2 ton jack.  Is there a place under the car that
can take the weight?
