XT vs. XT - clearance17 Apr 2006 07:16 GMT25
I was told (or maybe read) that the 2006 Forester XT ground clearance is
lower than the other members of the Forester line to enhance the handling.
OK, that makes sense.  Then why is the 2006 Outback XT ground clearance
greater than the other Outback flavors offered?  Just ...
Please help! Headlights turn off when High beams are activated17 Apr 2006 02:49 GMT9
For a '95 Subaru Legacy 2.2L SOHC
If anyone has a wiring schematic it would be a big help to me.  I get
no voltage in the high beam wire (measured at the headlight) and the
impedence in the ground wire changes from like 40 ohms to zero
1997 Outback Legacy Wagon: Can I get FULL control of the heating/cooling?17 Apr 2006 01:51 GMT8
It is hard to believe I have lived with this frustration for 9 years!
So here is my question:
Is it possible to get full control of my heating/cooling system?  Right

99 outback transmission problem17 Apr 2006 00:54 GMT3
My 99 subaru outback has a transmission problem. When you put it in
drive it doesn't engage right away. Sometimes takes 20-30 seconds of
stabbbing the accelerator. Dealer says it's got an internal
transmission problem and the trans will soon die. Anyone have any

10-Year Air bag Maintenance/Check ??16 Apr 2006 01:56 GMT12
My '97 OBW will be 10 years old this Fall.  I seem to
remember that the air bag systems need to be checked after
10 years. Has Subaru extended this policy?
As a separate question, how reliable are the air bags after
Noisy brakes - 2001 Outback16 Apr 2006 00:41 GMT7
When I test-drove and then bought my 2001 Outback Wagon, I heard a
low-pitched, smoothe squeak when backing up and braking, like backing
out of the driveway.  The former owner says it's always that way and
should be able to be fixed.  When I had the brakes done, the pads were

Can I disable the seatbelt chime in my 2006 Legacy?
HELP!! How do I 'value' my car for resale???15 Apr 2006 21:54 GMT4
Hey, all.
I have an 02 silver WRX Wagon which I've had on lease for 4 years. I've
been a light driver; the mileage on the car is about 26,000 miles
(42,000 km). I got it new, so I know exactly what it's been through.
Programming keyless remote15 Apr 2006 21:18 GMT3
I found a spare keyless remote on Ebay for a pretty good price.  I googled a
website that said that there was a programming button "by the driver's left
knee" on the kick panel, and that if it wasn't visible it may have been
tucked up into the wiring harness cluster.

Certified Pre-owned15 Apr 2006 03:06 GMT1
Some questions for those of you who may have purchased in Subaru's
certified pre-owned (CPO) program.  I am looking for good ways to
search for CPOs from dealers outside my local area, and I am
considering how to work with my local dealer for maintenance and
Castrol Syntec Blend Question?15 Apr 2006 00:35 GMT16
I need to add some oil, but in checking the oil tag in the window, found out
that Subaru dealership used Castrol Syntec Blend.    Do I have to go out and
find this exact blend or is okay to mix with regular oil?   Do you always
need to make sure you have the same weight too... if ...

Greetings all,
Doing the brakes on my Legacy last night and I stripped the Wheel stud. I
was able to get the stud knocked out of the hub and picked up new parts at
the dealer tonight. I tried to get the stud out last night and with the one
