Switching from Automatic to Manual29 May 2006 01:12 GMT1
I own a 2001 Subaru Outback station wagon and have wanted to change it
from an automatic transmission to a manual 5-speed.  I've seen a couple
do-it-yourself guides to switching transmissions, but I'm not a
mechanic so it doesn't make much sense to me.  So I have a few

Has anyone figured out how to have the foglights in an Outback on with
the parking lights only and no headlights?
I was able to have my foglights on without headlights in my old '92
Pontiac Grand Am; it seems that all American cars (GM,Ford,Dodge, and
Tire damaged on 1 month old Forester28 May 2006 11:49 GMT4
I got my 06 LL Bean Forester around 1 month ago.  Unfortunately I had
my first flat today.  The worst part is a nail went into the inner side
wall of the tire and I know from the past often that means the tire is
ruined and can't be plugged.  Sure enough after going to a local tire

Was wondering if anyone out there has done their own cat replacement?
If so, where did you purchase the converter and what did you pay.
Did you have any problem with fit or parts house?
I tried this back in Feb and due to mfg/design problem the converted

My friend found a 1999 Legacy that has been rolled but is driveable.
Does anyone have a Legacy that has a blown engine that they want to

At this time I don't know if it is a GT or Outback.
Transmission oil change on 2005 Outback27 May 2006 10:59 GMT3
I'm in the process of converting all the fluids in my wife 200

My 92 Liberty now has 568,000 km on the clock.

For a few weeks I've been furiously looking for a Soobie wagon to
replace my dead Jeep. I thought I had finally found the one today. Its
an '96 outback wagon with 127k, a new clutch, and a new timing belt.
And what I was really excited about was that it had the 2.2L that

I just got my 98 outback jumped and am running it for an hour.  The
hazard lights are flashing, but they are not on.  Is there something I

Hi, I have a 1992 Subaru Legacy and I am looking for the full-width
