how to locate the tire air leak23 May 2006 02:43 GMT15
It is minor leak, at most a few PSI per day.
It is not a valve, changed it for a new one and there is no improvement.
It is random, one day the tire loses 5PSI, other it stays the same.
It is temperature changes dependent as it seems that it develops when
Oil Consumption / Marvel Oil23 May 2006 02:12 GMT22
In another vehicle application (which I can't talk about for obvious
reasons) we treat high oil consumption engines with a mix of regular engine
oil and Marvel Mystery Oil 50:50 for an oil change.  We run the HELL out of
the engines with this mix for a hundred hours, and 95% of ...
wheal alignment22 May 2006 01:29 GMT1
My Outback developed recently an asymmetrical front-right-inner tire
wear so the thread is almost gone. All three  other tires are (almost)
fine in that regard and would be  good for 10K yet (out of estimated
45K). Also I rotate them every 7-12K miles.

Where is it? Does anyone know where I can locate the a/c cut relay on
my 1993 Legacy?
Thanks!
Rear tyre wear21 May 2006 20:06 GMT12
Have had severe wear on the outside rear left tyre on my 05 OBW. I talked to
the dealer who said it could be a wheel alignment problem. However, I would
think that if it were, I would see it first on the front tyres, but they
both have normal wear. I have since heard that there ...

Subaru air-conditioning questions21 May 2006 16:16 GMT2
Hi all...
After the weather started warming up here I began noticing that my
'03 Forester's AC wasn't blowing cold (barely below ambient) and an
annoying hissing sound was coming from behind the dash. Suspecting a low
2006 forester vs. 1999 forester21 May 2006 15:15 GMT9
I have a 1999 Subaru Forester with about 125,000 miles on it.  I am
shopping for a new car & am considering another Forester, but there are a
few things I don't like about my 1999 model.
-The seatbelts - none of them retract smoothly; they often jam.
stuck trunk/gate/hatch on Outback21 May 2006 03:33 GMT1
My 01 Outback has a stuck gate/trunk/hatch.  It will not open.
I have tried the "push on the handle" idea that I read online, but no
luck.  I pulled the cover off the back of the trunk so I could look at
the mechanism, but I don't see what's wrong.
Strut assembly/installation questions21 May 2006 01:11 GMT2
The 04 STI springs have finally arrived and I have a ton of very basic
questions:
Do longer springs go in front or back of my 05 Impreza (OBS)?
How many new self locking nuts do I need for reassembly/installation of
Subaru Impreza RS25 (2001): Manual Transmission Problem20 May 2006 04:57 GMT5
My 2001 Subaru Impreza RS25, with about 80,000 miles, recently
developed a problem with its 5-speed manual transmission.
When shifting from 3rd to 4th gear, sometimes "grinding" occurs as it
moves into 4th gear. The problem doesn't always occur. It appears less
06' OutbackSport Special Edition Question20 May 2006 04:34 GMT15
Hey I'm looking at purchasing a 06' Outback Sport SE. I have one quick
question regarding the 6-disc in-dash changer that comes with the SE
package. Is it possible to remove this unit from the car (to install a
new head unit w/ Sirius and Ipod controls). I have heard conflicting
Synthetic Oil19 May 2006 15:16 GMT10
I have a 96 OBW (178k miles) and a 04 OB Sedan (34k miles).  Should I
switch to synthetic oil for my autos?  Any pros or cons?  If I do
switch to syn oil, can I switch back without harm to the car?  Thanks.
