Realign Headlight18 May 2006 20:13 GMT2
Several weeks ago I had to install a new lowbeam bulb on my `01 Outback
Wagon LE.  I accomplished that with little effort, however in the process I
did have to loosen the bolts that hold the headlight assembly into place in
order to get my hand behind the assembly to turn, loosen ...
Smart Car Marketing18 May 2006 05:39 GMT2
Daimler Chrysler (american multinational company) is marketing the Smart Car
in South Africa with the slogan
"German engineering, Swiss innovation, American nothing".
Perfect!, this might work in Canada too (especially actually).
'03 wrx wgn :replacing taillight bulb17 May 2006 23:26 GMT2
I'm having a crasy time removing the 2 plastic screws holding down the
black panel to get at the rear taillight on my '03 wrx wagon.    They seem
to just want to spin and spin without actually coming out.  Any tricks to
removing the screws.
2005 Outback 3.0R LL Bean running hot???17 May 2006 21:41 GMT3
I just got my first Subaru last weekend and I have a question regarding
its' oil pressure gauge reading.  All the vehicles I've owned in the
past had the oil pressure showing at about quarter of the gauge, but
this one is at half even after driving only 5 minutes. (It doesn't seem
Re: Synthetic Oil < From a Manufacturer's Factory Tech Rep17 May 2006 12:26 GMT9
Here is the real story again;
Use Dino oil first few thousand miles of new or rebuilt engine because it allows metal to metal parts
to wear or 'break in'.  This is needed to 'seat' rings and such or you will loose compression
and burn oil.
Longevity of WRXs...?17 May 2006 02:06 GMT69
Hey, all...
I'm coming up on the end of a 4 year lease on an '02 WRX Wagon, and am
deciding whether to hang onto it at all. At this point it has about
26000 miles on it.
Tribeca vs Lexus rx35016 May 2006 23:26 GMT9
Anyone have opinion of the above?  There is a significant price difference
is it worth it?

B4 Auto Transmission AT & Engine Braking16 May 2006 21:07 GMT3
While I was scooting along the windy mountain way and downshifted to get set
up for an approaching bend I wondered whether the auto (AT) transmission in
the B4 could really handle this kind of treatment, or whether the 'manual'
mode was just a marketing gimmick?

Tail lights and fog lights do not turn off16 May 2006 12:27 GMT4
I have a 1998 Legacy.  My rear tail lights and front fog lights do not turn
off when even after I turn the car off and remove the key from the ignition.
Does anyone have any ideas as to the possible causes and solutions or how I
may test for them.
Subaru phase II engine weights15 May 2006 17:04 GMT2
I can find quite a quite a lot of information on the internet about the
weights of older Subaru engines - although it's not always clear what's
included - but nothing on current/newer engines.  Does anyone have good
figures for "phase engines" or comparisons between different types,
Legacy wagon question.15 May 2006 11:37 GMT6
I have the chance of a 1993 Legacy estate 2.0L (83Kmiles) for £750.
Not knowing much about these cars other than their reputation is this a good
price?
What should I be looking for as far as problems.
netural safety switch15 May 2006 05:39 GMT13
Does anyone have advice on how to bypas a neutral safety switch on a 93
Impreza with a manual tranny? As I can tell, it is a black box on the
top part of the brake pedal and no way to bypass it.
Thanks
