I live in NY and want to buy a new Forester from a dealer in
Massachusetts (Since that is the only dealer with the car I
want.)  The dealer insists that he needs to bring the car to
NY and have one his NY-licensed salesmen sign the papers at

My mom has a 1995 Legacy L w/automatic transmission.  This past weekend the
lightbulb that lights the console area of the automatic shifter (the area
showing P, R, N, D, 3, 2, 1 beside the shifter itself) died.  So now when
it's nightime and she goes to shift, the previously lit ...

Is this advisable/possible?

I've recently replaced all the pads on my 99 OBW. I made sure to
apply plenty of anti-squeal grease to the non-disk surfaces. I have
also made sure the pads have plenty of float when in position in the
calipers, so they don't stick anywhere.

Hi group - this morning my battery was dead in my 1998 Forester.
So I took another car to go buy a new battery. I installed the new
battery - and the car turns over no problem - but now the brake lights
are blinking at a very consistent pace - and there is a ticking sound
