I wanted to run a current situation past the experts on here to get your thoughts. For 10 years my momhas been taking her `95 legacy to the Ford/Mazda/Subaru Dealership's service department for service. So naturally when I purchased my `01 Outback in December of this past year, ...

I have a 1999 Subaru Outback Sport with about 80,000 miles. The check engine light came on. I put the gas cap back on as instructed in the manual and it went off for a while. Now it is back on steady. I had the catalytic converter replaced at 59,000. What should I do?

Hello, world! :) I'm looking for pollen (cabin) filter for Forester 00-01MY RHD. I've tried G3210-FC200 (for LHD),. but it's not the same. Looks like that filter for RHD must be similar (from two parts), but a few larger.

| Speed Sensor Replacement | 18 Jun 2006 22:04 GMT | 1 |
I have a '98 Impreza Outback that has a bad speed sensor (the one in the transmission) and I was wondering what a decent price for the part and labor was. I understand that this part is relatively cheap and easy to install, so any advice would be great so I don't get ripped off.

| Rear Strut | 18 Jun 2006 04:18 GMT | 1 |
One of the rear struts on my lovely 1997 Impreza Sedan is leaking oil. It's done 100k plus miles so no problem. I'm feeling stupid because I can't figure out how to get the rear seat back off so that I can get to the nuts at the top of the strut. It seems to be continuous along ...

I have a friend with a 95 Legacy wagon that I suspect has a shot water pump. (Have to get over to see for myself, but from the description ...) If I were to try and help here myself what pitfalls should I expect. I know the pump is belt driven and I'd probablty replace the belt ...

| '96 Legacy Outback remote programming | 15 Jun 2006 21:25 GMT | 2 |
How do I program a new remote? There's no mention in the owner's manual. On my '99 OBS I held in the button under the dash until the locks cycled 3 times, then pushed the lock button on the remote. I tried that on my '96 Legacy but I hear a few clicks, the locks cycle once, I ...
