More on Grounding Mods01 Sep 2006 00:13 GMT3
Hey, all.
So after the 'uncertain' results of the grounding mod I did to my 02
WRX, I've been doing some research on the topic of grounding.
I see various kits available (on eBay, for example), which appear to
Hesitation--a problem with ALL 6 cylinder engines?31 Aug 2006 18:27 GMT10
I dropped off my 2006 Outback VDC 3.0, that's been experiencing severe
hesitation problems when trying to accelerate, at the dealers, so that the
Regional Rep can look at it.  They are also going to get with the Subaru TAC
(sp?) on the problem.

Hey everyone, I've got a problem.
All four of my power windows do not work regardless of which switch you
use, ie. driver switches, passenger switches, rear switches.
There are no fuses in the fuse box in the engine bay nor the one under

Yet another facelift for Subaru30 Aug 2006 18:49 GMT4
It seem every 2-3 years Subaru changes the front-end styling:

They just can't seem to settle on a 'look' that doesn't take flak.
Timing belt issues...30 Aug 2006 04:14 GMT8
I have an 86 Subaru GL, 1.8L. The timing belt recently snapped on it (I
brought this up before) and my mechanic friend is trying to help me fix
it (I'm a novie, as stated before, as well. :D)
However, he hasn't worked that often on Japanese cars. So, his question
Failing wheel bearing sound?30 Aug 2006 01:33 GMT17
What does a failed wheel bearing sound like?
I've got a 2002 Impreza WRX (70K miles) and when making sweeping left
turns I hear a grinding type noise coming from the front right
(passenger) side tire.  I actually thought it might be the brakes
How to tell if mount plate for struts are worn?29 Aug 2006 22:55 GMT6
1992 Subaru Legacy L AWD non-turbo non-ABS wagon
I've been looking around to see what the parts would cost for fixing
my suspension ails.  The bumps are hard on my butt, much harder than a
few years ago.  It's like the springs are sagging so I'm bottoming out
Engine Oil Overfill - Unfortunately it happened to me. 29 Aug 2006 18:05 GMT8
I have a 2001 Legacy Outback with 69K healthy and fun-filled miles and a
week ago some ignorant mechanic at a local dealership overfilled my engine
oil. I mean overfill by substantial amount - the oil level was indicating at
least 4 inches above the normal high line. Unfortunately ...
97 Impreza possible oil leak..(seems pretty common...)29 Aug 2006 16:01 GMT4
I have a 97 impreza that has a similiar problem that some of you has
described here:
Car runs very well for any short trips or in the city, but once I drive
on highway...say 20 minutes or so, and stop the car in a fast food
Cassette/FM-AM/CD head unit for `95 legacy29 Aug 2006 00:39 GMT3
My mom spilled orange juice out of her cup holder last week and it splashed
down onto the headunit of the car.  Now it simply isn't working and I'm
thinking it caused the electronics on the unit to short out.  Simply put,
with numerous units on eBay going for under $30, I will ...

Oil Changes; Synthetic oils28 Aug 2006 01:30 GMT9
We bought a new OBW last year, the L.L.Bean edition.  It's my first new
car in...wait for it...37 years!  Everything in between has been
purchased used (don't you just detest "pre-owned"?).
I know that oils have improved greatly and engines have changed a lot
INtermittent starting problem27 Aug 2006 03:17 GMT4
Totally random start-up issues with this '99 Outback wagon with A/T and
88K miles. Some mornings it fires right up, others it takes anywhere
from 3 to 15 turns of the key to get it to turn over. Or, it will turn
over 3-4 times then stop. Other times of the day, it starts just fine,

Does anyone know where to get a service or repair manual for a 2001
