Fix fog lamps26 Aug 2006 20:59 GMT1
Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement fog light switch and/or
relay for a 2002 Impreza WRX Wagon?  Pressing the switch doesn't turn
the fog lights on anymore.
Thanks,
Getting the shocks changed26 Aug 2006 13:49 GMT5
I noticed that my ride quality has not been quite as
confidence-inspiring over the rough roads recently (i.e. just about all
of the potholed city streets of Montreal). So I did the standard shock
absorber test: sat on each corner of the car and got off and watched if
A/T Kickdown issues - 2000 OBW Limited   Where's the cable?26 Aug 2006 04:17 GMT3
I should state before anything else that the car has 96K miles and I've
only put on 3000 of them.
The kickdown from 3rd to 2nd at ~30-45 mph is downright ugly. Usually it
won't do anything until my foot is almost to the floor, at which point

All warning lights are on25 Aug 2006 02:30 GMT2
I have a 90 Legacy SW AWD 2.2L AT.
The battery icon light, AT oil Temp, Brake, and stop lamps started to
flicker, then stay on at low speed, like at a stop.  Then they go out,
while still stopped, then started to come on at higher speeds, etc.
02 WRX: Am I just driving this thing wrong??25 Aug 2006 00:45 GMT15
I took my 02 WRX into the dealer to have it test driven by the regional
service manager. I am concerned about the first gear synchros.
We took it out, he was driving, and we could not replicate my symptom
(that being that first gear sometimes just slams in with no resistance,
Question 2: Timing/Cam belt replacement24 Aug 2006 17:34 GMT2
Now for my next question.
According to my owners manual (MY02 RS bought new in 07/01) I am 10K
past my belt replacement. I have done this procedure on a number of 350
short blocks and 2 Saab 99 series. This will be my first time with a
1992 Legacy Broken Timing Belt24 Aug 2006 17:25 GMT8
The timing belt broke on my 92 Legacy Wagon.  I have tried to fix it,
but have failed at several attempts.  I have been following a Chilton's
manual for fixing it, but I just can't get the timing right.  One
problem is that my manual only tells you how to align the timing if the
2000 Forester24 Aug 2006 12:22 GMT6
My car has been running terrible lately. Ironically the dealership said
nothing when I brought it in for an oil change that was supposed to check
many things. It was just having problems when I tried to accelerate at 35-45
mph. It would die and then go and it had a chattering ...
flasher24 Aug 2006 01:35 GMT5
I have a 2000 Subaru Forester and need to replace the flasher unit.
The dealer said it was under the dash, behind the instrument cluster,
but I don't see it there.  Has anybody ever replaced this?  Have any
more detailed instructions?
2008 Impreza23 Aug 2006 22:22 GMT12
My dealer mentioned that the '08 Impreza will be completely new. Any
idea what it will look like? What new features might there be?
I'm trying to decide between going for an '07 Impreza or Forester or
waiting for '08.
Question 1: AC Compressor Clutch23 Aug 2006 19:33 GMT2
Recently had an issue develop with my MY02 RS bought new in 07/01. Car
has 115K miles (85% highway). Noticed over the last 2 weeks that there
was a sudden hesitation accompanied by what can best be described as a
"pffft" sound. Tracked it down to the AC compressor clutch slipping as
Is the 02 WRX a dud???23 Aug 2006 02:08 GMT3
Hey, all...
I'm coming to the end of my lease for an 02 WRX wagon.
I'm assessing whether I want to buy it out or let it go.
I've been through the clutch shudder fiasco with this car, to the tune

Regular gas in 2007 Forester 2.5 XT?22 Aug 2006 20:13 GMT5
The Consumer Reports article for July, 2006, states "regular" for the
Forester 2.5 XT fuel requirement.
Is this correct?  Thought it had to be 91 octane Premium?
Thanks.
