running lights04 Aug 2006 16:35 GMT8
have a 98 outback with a new, weird problem.  The running lights won't
turn off.  The light switch won't turn them off, turning off the key
won't work.  Have to pull the fuse to get them off.  Any ideas on where
to look?
Identifying engine without paying04 Aug 2006 16:33 GMT3
Hoping someone can help me with this question on my 1988 Subaru DL
wagon.
Been frustrated working on the engine to be getting all the wrong
parts, and finally came to the conclusion that someone must have
P1443 Code in 2001 Forester04 Aug 2006 13:07 GMT3
Can anyone give me some insight on what a "P1443" code might mean in a 2001
Forester? (USA)
All the scanner reports is "Manufacturer Controlled Auxiliary Emissions
Control".  Not very helpful (except in knowing that it won't strand me by
90 Legacy struts04 Aug 2006 04:19 GMT7
My "new" '90 legacy AWD wagon feels like I'm driving a row boat in
moderate seas :) Are struts a DIY? What is a decent strut? Don't need
racing parts but don't want crap that only lasts 20k either.
Thanx
Help: Quick Tribeca Question03 Aug 2006 22:42 GMT7
I just bought a Tribeca, but the manual is missing. Can someone tell me
where I can plug in my iPod to the stereo. I have read you can do it,
but I do not see where the input is.
Thanks,
Maintenance Schedule03 Aug 2006 22:28 GMT6
I took my 2006 OB in at 3000 miles for the initial, and, got a sticker
saying to bring it back at 6000 miles, not 7500.  I asked why, and, was told
that the schedule is wrong, and, it's not every 3750, but, every 3000 miles.
I know THAT'S not true, but, are they just trying to rip ...

Subaru weird idle?03 Aug 2006 19:24 GMT6
I have never owned a subaru before, but i noticed at stop lights, when
the car is idleing, the engine sits at around 1000 for  second or too,
then slowly drops down to 750 or so, then something clicks and it goes
back up to 1000 again, and this keeps repeating.
'02 WRX performance problems03 Aug 2006 18:26 GMT2
I am working on an '02 WRX w/ 60k miles.  The car seems too lack power
in mid-range RPM (3000-5000 RPM).  It's also getting a trouble code of
P0171 (bank 1 too lean).
The factory shop manual has a troubleshooting checklist for that code
02 Forester Auto Trans Filter03 Aug 2006 01:25 GMT5
When I had 30k miles on my '02 Subaru the dealer changed the trans fluid but
he didn't change the filter. I'm doing the 60k miles myself and when I drain
the fluid I'm going to change the filter too. Does it go on like an oil
filter - lubricate the gasket and tighten about 1 to ...
Headlight Brights03 Aug 2006 00:38 GMT3
I recently purchases a 1995 Subaru Impreza.  Upon fixing some minor
problems with the car, I ran into one that I have not been able to
resolve.  The headlight brights do not work.  The headlights themselves
turn on (low beam), but when i click the bright switch the headlights
Pulling the mirror03 Aug 2006 00:35 GMT3
I'd like to pull both mirror and stalk out of a 99 Soob OB Wagon.  I can get
the mirror out with a 15mm Torx wrench, but I can't find the bolts that hold
the stalk to the vehicle.  I've tried moderate pressure on what looks like a
plastic cap, but don't want to bend it too far ...
Forester Timing Belt Replacement02 Aug 2006 22:39 GMT8
I'm new to the newsgroup and have been lurking a bit, but wanted to tap into
the group knowledge base.
I have a 2003 Forester, In January it had it's 60,000 service at a
non-Subaru dealer.  Yesterday, I had it at one of the Subaru dealers here in
2000 Legacy GT Wagon 5-speed issues?02 Aug 2006 20:49 GMT4
I am new to owning a subaru, having only owned hondas in the past. I
have a 2000 legacy gt wagon 5-speed with 100,000 miles that I just
purchased. It seems to be really slow in first and second gear, and I
am wondering if the clutch is slipping, or the tranny is going.
how much cost to replace camshaft sensor on 96' Legacy L?02 Aug 2006 17:41 GMT1
Just wonder what the price is out here. Dealer told me $158 or parts
and labor, but I check the internet the parts is only $60 at most, I
wonder if it something easy that I can do?
