Occasional Fail to Start when Warm - liberty / legacy26 Sep 2006 15:19 GMT8
I posted most of this message some time ago.  Since then I have
encountered an additional clue.  The flashing of the Power light
indicator is new.  Thanks to all who have had a go at this one,
particularly Carl 1 Lucky Texan.

Gray cladding on 98 OBS26 Sep 2006 04:06 GMT1
Hi - Trying to figure out what to use to touch up the gray side panels
and gray bumper on a 98 impreza outback sport.  Are the side panels
painted gray on metal or is it a gray plastic?
If I can use paint, is it Titanium pearl or some other color?
Convert 2.5l to turbo?24 Sep 2006 17:16 GMT3
Anyone have experience with this?  Is it relatively easy, or can it even be
done?  What's involved?  Is it a matter of just changing / adding parts?
Thanks
2004 Forester brake rotors finished after 27,000 miles?24 Sep 2006 04:46 GMT12
I brought my 2004 Forester 2.5X to the local Firestone to have the
tires rotated. The complete vehicle inspection service was included in
the tire rotation. A few hours later, I received a call from the
service advisor telling me that the front brake pads were down to 2 mm

How to remove windshield moulding?24 Sep 2006 02:28 GMT4
Need to get at some rust that extends on the roof to under the
moulding at the top of the windshield.  How do I pop it off?  Do I
just pull?  Is it bonded with some sticky stuff?  Do you need to slide
in a pry bar to depress some clips?

Subaru Diesel23 Sep 2006 19:38 GMT17
A few years back I've heard stories about Subaru developing
a diesel engine in coperation with Isuzu. Then stories began to float
about a diesel to be made together with Porsche.  Recently there was
a piece about it being a coperative effort with Toyota. Now this article
Knock sensor on '96 OBW23 Sep 2006 16:11 GMT3
I'm getting an error code in my obd that says the reason my "check
engine" light went on is that my knock sensor is not sensing.  It goes
on to say that the older type has grey wiring and should be replaced
with one with white wiring.  My question is, where on the (2.2L) engine

Fuel Filter21 Sep 2006 20:09 GMT28
Got a fuel filter for my 2005 Subaru Forester and wanted to replace it.
Subaru does not want us to work on our own cars, they have hid the
fuel filter somewhere.  If they have put it in the fuel tank as I
suspect, I will trade the car and go on a persoanl world-wide mission
Torque21 Sep 2006 02:34 GMT3
Does anyone know the torque values at 2000 rpm for the current H-6 and turbo
H-4 engines in the U.S. Legacy/Outback line?
Subaru Brake Squeal20 Sep 2006 00:14 GMT21
Well, I've read up a lot on this subject and I'm getting mixed answers:
I have a 1995 Subaru Legacy Wagon with 4 Wheel Drive and ABS. A month
ago, the left disk brake brake started squealing. Its a really high
pitch squeal and only occurs when my foot is off the brake and occurs
