I posted most of this message some time ago. Since then I have encountered an additional clue. The flashing of the Power light indicator is new. Thanks to all who have had a go at this one, particularly Carl 1 Lucky Texan.

Hi - Trying to figure out what to use to touch up the gray side panels and gray bumper on a 98 impreza outback sport. Are the side panels painted gray on metal or is it a gray plastic? If I can use paint, is it Titanium pearl or some other color?

Anyone have experience with this? Is it relatively easy, or can it even be done? What's involved? Is it a matter of just changing / adding parts? Thanks

Got a fuel filter for my 2005 Subaru Forester and wanted to replace it. Subaru does not want us to work on our own cars, they have hid the fuel filter somewhere. If they have put it in the fuel tank as I suspect, I will trade the car and go on a persoanl world-wide mission
