"Turning rims"06 Sep 2006 14:48 GMT3
Hey, all.
Over the 4 years I've had my WRX, I've had a couple of unfortunate
runins with curbs. There's a few inches of scarring on the wheel rims.
I gather that I could take them into the shop, and have them 'turned',

My 1996 Liberty / Legacy 2.2 L has a problem starting once the engine

time it only occurred about once every 2 to 3 months.  As time passed
the rate of occurrence gradually increased.  It is now likely to

check engine light was off when it went in and on when it came out -
I'm assuming that it has something to do with the emissions testing?
Anyone know whether it is likely to go off on its own, or is this going

Legacy GT difficult to downshift from 5-404 Sep 2006 02:38 GMT1
I have had a problem downshifting from 5th to 4th on my 05 legacy gt wagon
with 5 speed manual. Yes, I push in the clutch all the way, but for some
reason on some occasions it just won't shift into 4th although I can brake
and shift directly into third. I wrote to SOA about it, ...
90 Legacy door lock03 Sep 2006 16:19 GMT3
the Driver's door look is not working properly. The key will not unlock
it and it seems to want to stay in the "locked" position. Sometimes I
can push the rocker into the unlocked position and it will stay there
ok. Is this an easy fix? Where do I start?
How to find paint for my old car?03 Sep 2006 02:56 GMT2
1992 Subaru Legacy L wagon
Generally I'd describe the color as gray.  I found the paint code 249
atop the front driver-side strut tower on the plate there.  According
to Duplicolor's web site, 249 is "Liquid Silver Metal".  However, when

Hey everyone, I have a new WRX site ( http://www.diywrxtuner.com ). I
wanted to know if anyone would like to contribute their mods, or have
their WRX profiled on the site.
Rear View Mirror Going Funky02 Sep 2006 03:19 GMT4
I have a 2001 Subaru Outback, and the rear view mirror looks like it is
losing fluid; it is green up to about 1/2" from the top, then it becomes
clear.
Is there a cheap fix or source for this mirror?  It is an auto-dimming style

Reading the Forester's Dip Stick01 Sep 2006 01:07 GMT6
I always have trouble reading the car's dip stick. It's clear that there are
