So...I was googling to find more info about my problem, mostly I am wondering what a fair price would be for the repairs my mechanic says I need. I cam across a past posting of yours.. "Valve cover gaskets are quick and easy to replace. Cam seals involve

| Mysterious Switch | 25 Oct 2006 03:34 GMT | 5 |
My '99 Outback has a switch on the console that turns on something...but I don't know what. It's the one that has an icon of a window and a wiper. I woke up this morning to a couple inches of snow on my car, and turned that switch on while I took out the trash, etc.

| 94 impreza overheating - no fan | 24 Oct 2006 04:00 GMT | 3 |
Our beater 94 Impreza is overheating. The fan does not appear to ever come on so that would be a obvious cause. This is what I've found:

| when to replace fuel filter? | 24 Oct 2006 01:43 GMT | 9 |
Is there a non-oem fuel filter that would work in a 2002 impreza wrx? I like to use a see-thru filter so I know when it is dirty enough to replace. Otherwise, how do you know when to replace it? Guess? https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/product_info.php?products_id=1114

I bought a new 2006 Subaru Forester. It's been a great car and was getting great mileage: 23 city, 27-28 highway, 24-25 mixed. At 3,500 miles I took it to the dealer for an oil change. Since then, my mileage has has dropped to about 18-19 city, 22-23 highway, and 20

| Lugs routinely breaking off rear wheel? | 23 Oct 2006 01:43 GMT | 18 |
My 2000 Subaru Outback keeps shearing the lugs of the rear passenger wheel! After the first incident and having to replace a warped rotor (go figure), my mechanic swears they are hand torquing the lugs and hasn't a clue as all else appears normal with the wheel, tire,

| Inside shoulder wear on '04 WRX | 22 Oct 2006 21:19 GMT | 12 |
Well - I only got about 19K miles on a set of Pirelli PZero Nero M+S in stock size (205/55R16). The inside shoulders of all tires are wearing faster than the center of the tread - especially on the left side. That might have more to do with my taking a sharp right turn

| 92 Legacy - What is each relay in engine fusebox used for? | 22 Oct 2006 19:21 GMT | 2 |
Many hot sides of a circuit are simply listed in the diagrams as "hot in acc/run". That means they connect to 12V when the ignition switch is in the Acc or Run position. Okay, but the ignition switch is not really the switch in their circuit. The ignition switch energizes

We take well care of our '88 and were going to sell it because we need to get an over the shoulder seat belt for the backseat. We have a 4 year old and the only other option looks like a $300 child seat, In our User's Manual it mentions a reaer harness system that can hook up to it. ...

| Dash Lights Out on 1996 Impreza | 21 Oct 2006 15:03 GMT | 1 |
My dash lights are out on my 96 Impreza and I don't have the manual. Could anyone out there tell me which fuse I need to replace? I figure I'd start with that since a fuse will only cost me a few bucks. Any other ideas on why its out? Thanks.
