Need sun visors for 94 Legacy21 Oct 2006 06:24 GMT1
One of my sun visors broke. The dealer wants $87 for a replacement. Is there
any other source of sun visors for these cars?
all-season AWD tires for snow20 Oct 2006 22:27 GMT11
I live in the Bay area (no snow), and I go skiing to the Sierras every
weekend (tons of snow). So, snow tires don't make sense, since I don't
want to change the wheels back and forth every week. I've been able to
get away with all-season cheap Falcon tires: they, for some reason, ...

The "Check engine" light on my 2001 Outback came on so I bought a code

Hi all,
I bought a '96 Subaru (Legacy) Outback a couple of years ago.  It has
some sort of aftermarket kill switch/security system installed and
won't start unless you flash high beams while turning the key.

Winterforce tires on Outback - opinions?19 Oct 2006 19:35 GMT2
My dealer says the Bridgestone Winterforce tires work well in snow and
slush - do they?  And how about on dry roads after the snowplow has
already been through?  Are they terribly noisy?
Any other winter tire suggestions?
Life expectancy for '01-'0419 Oct 2006 18:54 GMT17
My wife wants an AWD wagon for our snowy country roads, and the obvious
first choices are the Legacy and Outback.  It sounds like the models
from '01-'04 are probably what we want, although we disagree on our
price range (I'm thinking more $11-13K, she's thinking more $12-15K).
More fluid for AT tranny than MT?19 Oct 2006 05:57 GMT21
After my mom's `95 legacy dropped 10+ qts of fluid in the driveway, I got to
thinking.  Does the automatic transmission vehicles hold more fluid than the
manual transmissions??
The reason I ask is that I'm going to drain my fluids and put in the "Uncle
installing a used bumper on Impreza Outback?18 Oct 2006 23:00 GMT8
I had a minor accident (my fault) where the front bumper of my Impreza
Outback got partially ripped from the car (I was going slowly in
traffic and moved into a faster moving lane, cutting a guy off).
I have replaced the lights w/o much trouble,  but the bumper looks
this may be a dumb question, but I know nothing about car so here goes...18 Oct 2006 22:25 GMT14
I just bought a used 2000 Subaru Legacy in February and I was
wondering: when should the fuel light (the one that comes on when your
gas tank gets low) come on? I have never seen mine come on in the six
or so months I have owned my car and I have run it down to 2-3 gallons
Transmission Problems in 2006 2.5x Forester? (automatic)18 Oct 2006 00:29 GMT2
I have 22k miles on the car and have the worst type of problem becuase
its intermittent so the dealer states can not replicate the problem.
What happens occurs only when I turn right and its like the
transmission is slipping  for a second or two.  It can happen on dry or

2001 Forester front brake issue (sticking off???)17 Oct 2006 18:06 GMT5
I put new brake pads on the front brakes of my wife's Forester and now
I have a weird problem.  After about a week, the front brakes felt as
if they were not working.  Taking it out for a test drive, I slammed
the brake pedal as hard as I could (emergency stop) and the front
