Child Car Seat in 2002 Impreza17 Nov 2006 05:48 GMT3
I have spent the last couple of hours trying to get a car seat to fit
into the back seat of my '02 Impreza with little luck.
The car seat is simply too big, and makes the passenger seat unusable,
as it has to be moved as far forward as it goes in order for the car
Timing, Oil, etc16 Nov 2006 19:47 GMT7
I'm getting ready to replace the timing belt in my 99 Forester.  The
car has 130,000 Miles on the original timing belt.  I'm gonna try this
myself as I'm a poor student.  The plus side is I'm in no hurry, I
don't drive it very often.  I'm already going with the new belt and
Advice for pricing.2006 Outback XT16 Nov 2006 05:02 GMT2
Is $26,000 a good price for a 2006 Outback XT? It's the last one on the
lot, and I'm being told it's a terrific bargain.  Of course, I'm being
told by the sales person...
Thanks in advance.

Rear Main Seal Reaplacement Cost?16 Nov 2006 02:04 GMT14
Well I believe I have a bad rear main seal.  Car is a 1996 Legacy
Outback with the 2.2L engine.  Oil is dripping onto the exhaust, so
every time I come to a stop I smell burning oil.
Does anyone have an idea on an estimate for this job?  It is too big
02 legacy misfire and 02 codes16 Nov 2006 00:27 GMT36
Just bought a used 02 Legacy L 2.5/5spd.
Started idling rough, and check engine came on.
Dumped codes, got a p0130 and a p0171.  Cleared them, and then 2 days
later, hot p0301-4 (misfires in all 4 cylinders.)
Forester clicking sounds when making turns15 Nov 2006 15:34 GMT8
I have 99 Forester. Recently it has clicking sounds when I just start and
make turns out of parking lot. After the car warms up, there is no such
sound. The sounds come from the rear. Does anyone know what is wrong?
Thanks.
Parking lights --- what's the point?15 Nov 2006 14:20 GMT19
This may be a dumb question, but what are parking lights for?
I discovered my car had them today when one of the guys at the carwash
accidently bumped the switch while cleaning the inside and I couldn't
figure out why my tail lights and blinkers were staying on when my car
Subaru Baja15 Nov 2006 13:27 GMT6
Have just spent an interesting 3 weeks in Texas. (I am from Australia). On
the last day I was there, I read a survey on the front page of the Houston
Chronicle on the Best and Worst vehicles in America. It stated that the best
pickup truck was the Subaru Baja. I thought this a ...
Moisture on  the inside of the windshield15 Nov 2006 12:27 GMT1
I have a (new to me)  05 Outback--in the mornings  (or at night) i have
noticed patches of  condensation on the inside of the
windshiled....about as big a 3-dollar bills, just above the defroster
vents.  It has been rainy and  wet out, so the air is humid.  Any
94 legacy parks light on15 Nov 2006 07:07 GMT3
Hi I have a 94 legacy LS sedan, wife's car. We are having check engine
light problems, fans stayed on-ran crappy. Unplugged the battery
overnight-problem solved for a couple days. Today the park lights wont
go off and the C.E. lights on again. We also suspect the high position

When the car is stopped and i turn the wheel in the right or left most
"outside" position and apply some power (not the pedal to the metal
ofcourse) the car is jerking ( no strange sounds just feeling). When i do
2006 STi14 Nov 2006 15:50 GMT6
I live in California and I drive a new 2006 STi. The manual say to run
93 octane gas. All I can find is 91 octane gas. I have a few questions;
Is running 91 really bad for my engine? Does adding a bottle of STP
octane boost help? If so how many points does it increase? What is best
FWD mode14 Nov 2006 14:16 GMT4
I have a 2004 forester automatic.  I understand that there is a clutch
mechanism which regulates power between the front and rear wheels.
I am told that under typical driving conditions 90% of the power goes
to the front wheels while   the remaining 10% goes to the rear wheels.
'01 Outback Sedan Needs Third Alternator, Suggestions?14 Nov 2006 03:15 GMT5
I have a 2001 Outback Sedan, and the things original alternator died
last October.  So I had a new one put in on 10/10/2005, I'm told it's
made by ICP.  So a year and a couple days go by, and the new alternator
dies on 10/22/2006.  They only have a year warranty, and the auto shop
