2000 Forester OBDII09 Nov 2006 04:22 GMT1
I have 2000 Forester with CEL lit. My problem is, the connector I think must
be the OBDII connector, is located under dash to the right of steering
column, does not appear to accept the standard OBDII male connector. The
connectors I see on the readers have a horizontal blade ...

1985 Subaru 4WD throwout bearing spring installation08 Nov 2006 23:47 GMT1
I am replacing the clutch in my 85 Subaru GL 1.8L 4WD and need help.
The u-shaped spring holding the throwout bearing to the clutch fork
popped out and I am not 100% sure how the spring  goes back on.  Anyone
with a shop manual showing it would be a super great help.

Spend $60 on coolant leaking check?06 Nov 2006 03:02 GMT4
My forester 2001 now has an annoying coolant leak. I know the recall
on head gasket problem so I just did a coolant flush about one and
half months ago and asked the dealer to add the subaru conditioner.
However, now it's still same as before. I even wonders whether they

This is really weird, I came back from a 14 days vacation and tried to

vacation. I have a Lagacy 2000 automatic gear. The problem is that
there is no power at all. I have tried to jump it but nothing happens,

04 OBW - 2 Problems05 Nov 2006 01:39 GMT5
04 OBW LL Bean (6 cyl). About 70K miles- two new problems:
1. When the AC comes on, we hear a noise that sounds like it is coming
from behind the dash or maybe the rear of the engine compartment, and is
mostly on the passenger side. The sound is a cross between a loose belt
paint touch-up -- how long before I can wash my car?05 Nov 2006 01:26 GMT2
I touched up the paint on my car, how long should I wait before I wash
it again? I want to get it wash and waxed before winter comes and the
roads get all salty.
1990 Legacy Heater/AC Blower Not Working04 Nov 2006 17:06 GMT5
The AC/heater blower on a friend's 1990 Legacy is not working.  Figure it is
either the blower motor or speed resistor.  Sometimes it will start working
after a time.  I am hoping that is an indication of worn brushes and not an
intermittent short/open somewhere.
86 GL leaky pan gasket04 Nov 2006 14:38 GMT3
It's gone from a couple drips to puddles.  Any way to get it off without
pulling the motor?  The 4 back screws have me stumped.
Thanks
Mark
Is 2001 a lemon year for the Legacy Outback?04 Nov 2006 06:17 GMT9
A potential used Subie buyer here.
I'm a bit concerned that the mechanical ratings I've seen for the 2001
Legacy Outback are so wretched (J.D. Power).
Does anyone here know of any problems with this make/model?
Tires for an Outback... (Potenza G009, Eagle GT/HR, Michelin MXV4, Tripletreads?)04 Nov 2006 04:49 GMT8
I've got a 2000 Outback and need new tires. The Potenza G009 tires looks
like a good choice; however, I read one account on Tirerack that the
tires didn't fit correctly and scraped the wheel well when turned all of
the way. Is this truly a problem?
