Where flasher relays in Forester?20 Dec 2006 11:30 GMT2
Where are the flasher relays in a
2001 Forester? I saw a posting here

lost fuel efficiency20 Dec 2006 05:06 GMT5
My 1988 GL 1.8 SPFI has typically been getting about 32-36 mi/gal.
During the latter half of this year I have had to do a lot of
maintainence and repair on the car and now I'm getting around 27-28
mi/gal.  The only thing I can think of that might be related is that

handbrake turns off daytime runing lights - can it be disabled?19 Dec 2006 03:17 GMT2
Does anyone know exactly where the relay is which turns off the daytime
running lights (DRL's) when the handbrake is applied.
I live in San Francisco which is, as you probably know, pretty damned
hilly. Consequently, I quite often need to use the handbrake on hills
Seeking Tires for 01 OBW LTD19 Dec 2006 00:35 GMT12
For a while now I've been searching for new tires for my Outback Wagon.  It
still has the original OEM Firestone Wilderness tires on it and the car now
has a total 96,000 miles and finally... my left rear developed a flat.  I
knew it was coming just a matter of time and ...
Strange overheating issues '95 Legacy sedan19 Dec 2006 00:26 GMT3
Friday night my check engine light came on, but I experienced no change
in the feel of the car, performance, or engine noises.  The car
operated without change for several hours until I was driving home,
then it began to overheat.  I pulled over the car, checked all fluid
Tires for a 04 OB Sedan Ltd.18 Dec 2006 22:12 GMT6
Any recommendations for replacement tires for a '04 OB Sedan Ltd.?  The
car has 45K miles so I think it's about time.  Thanks.

`95 Legacy engine miss18 Dec 2006 15:24 GMT3
I was driving my mom's `95 Legacy L on Friday and noticed what appeared to
be an engine miss.  When I started the engine I could hear this very
noticeable miss that was very constitent and rhymic.  When leaving the
engine in idle and applying the accelerator, the rate of the ...
Reconditioned engine17 Dec 2006 23:16 GMT1
Hi, my Subaru Legacy Outback engine went bang last week. Had
a good quote to fix it from EngineShop who appear to be

Anyone know anything about them ?   I've done the usual
Rain - X17 Dec 2006 22:53 GMT7
In a previous thread (Good wipers - Legacy), Rain-X was mentioned.  I
bought some and applied it today.  So far, the results are good.  I've have
yet to encounter rain, but I can see the difference when just applying
washer fluid.  The liquid sure beads away quickly.
Replacing Front Speakers 2004 Forester16 Dec 2006 18:11 GMT8
From looking at the front door panels it seems like they have to be
removed to replace the front speakers. Correct?
How do you remove the door panel?
Is there a diagram on the web (I was unable to find one)?
check engine - flashing, rough/sutter16 Dec 2006 13:09 GMT7
This is the first engine problem I've had with my 2001 Legacy stationwagon.
I've had three days (one a few weeks ago, the other two yesterday and
today) where the engine seems to stutter at times.  When I started the car
on these three ocassions, the check engine light would flash ...
