remove Forester front rotors05 Dec 2006 14:36 GMT5
Do I need to remove the nut on the end of the axle to get the front
brake rotors off my 2001 Forester S model?  I can't get the rotors to
budge and they sure feel warped at 85000 miles.  I did smack a curb
sideways and had to have the rear struts replaced.  Any tips would

Headlight bulbs burning out every month or two(Low Beam/DRL)04 Dec 2006 21:38 GMT11
I have a 2001 Outback, about a year after I bought it one of the
headlight bulbs burned out, I replaced both bulbs with the exact same
brand/model bulb.  Those only lasted about two months before one burned
out, I bought another thinking maybe I got a bad bulb and about a week
05 Forester: How to repair front floor-mat anchor?04 Dec 2006 21:05 GMT4
My 05 Forester XT came with Subaru floormats.  The driver's mat has
one dome fastener and a plastic hook to hold it in place.
Unfortunately, the plastic hook has ripped out of the main carpet.  Is
there some way I can re-attach it?  The mat keeps riding forward under
Tyre wear 05 Outback04 Dec 2006 20:29 GMT8
Outside shoulder on all tyres showing excess wear compared to the rest of
the tyre which has heaps of tread, is this common on Outback's ?
Aftermarket cruise control04 Dec 2006 10:00 GMT1
Might any of you have first-hand experience with the use and/or
installation of Rostra (sp?) cruise control kits on a Subaru.  I'm
considering installing one in our '94 Legacy.

96 Legacy GT03 Dec 2006 16:28 GMT3
I've heard some ppl have had this problem with their legacy's but no
one seems to know why it does it and my knowledge of cars isn't that
great.
After driving the legacy around for a while the car seems to lose power
Ac compressor cycles 92 SVX03 Dec 2006 00:33 GMT1
THe compressor cycles every few seconds, and after changing the
compressor, clutch switch and hose, the diagnosis suggests that the
head unit itself may be defective.
Car otherwise runs beautifully, with 65Kmiles, it uses the newer
Winter Driving - 2004 Forester02 Dec 2006 23:32 GMT11
Here's an update on Goodyear Triple Tread Tires for Winter driving. We just
went through the wettest and now the snowiest November on record here on
Vancouver Island. All I can say is I am glad I drive a Subaru (5sp with Posi
rear end) and I am even happier that I put the Triple ...
aiming foglights on 2001 OBW02 Dec 2006 19:15 GMT6
They came aimed very low. I asked my dealer to aim them the same as low beam
headlights. He said they wouldn't go that high. Is he right? Is there a
workaround?

1996 Legacy GT cooling fans running constantly02 Dec 2006 01:53 GMT4
Was wondering if anybody has had the following problem?
Jumped into car to go to work this morning, spun over as usual but no
firing; CEL on and cooling fans both running.
Guessing that it was a temperature sensor giving info that engine was warm,
1998 Subaru Legacy Overheating01 Dec 2006 23:40 GMT6
Ok I recently bought this car used at 91K miles. Now it has 92K
miles.... I've had it for about a month. I'm driving down the road one
day going about 60, when all of a sudden the check engine light comes
on and the temp. gauge goes to max. So I stop the car, and I have lost
Winter idling?01 Dec 2006 22:47 GMT6
The temperatures are falling around here. They're below zero Celsius
most evenings now. My car (2000 OBW) is in a heated garage, yet it
still seems to want to idle at high revs these days. It now starts out
at fast idle of 3000 rpm, and then settles down to slow idle of 2000
97 Outback Impreza,  44K miles01 Dec 2006 21:59 GMT5
I recently got the above car.  It was a spare car which had been kept in a
garage and was only very lightly driven.
I took it in right away for brakes which were $500.  Today, I pick it up
from the dealer after it gets a new timing
