new tires. I've never bought tires before and no one in my family is
particularly mechanical, so I need some help. So far what have been

I think my oil pressure sensor is on the fritz.  The oil light came on
so I figured that I was low on oil.  Since I was driving, reading the
oil level on the stick wasn't possible so I dumped in a quart of oil.

about removing the battery, washer fluid container, and part of the air
intake to gain access to the spark plugs. Having got that far, I can't
pull the wire boot off the plugs. They must be the originals with 149K

The battery in my 2002 wrx is getting weak; the starter sometimes crank slow
on cold mornings. I think I contributed to the battery's weakness by
accidentally leaving the dome light on overnight once in a while.
